D&D 5E [OOC] Escape from Castle Illvithar

OK, we have, as far as I can count, three options:

1) Going back to the room with the plant creature and figuring out what might possibly be a puzzle involving the planet thing.
2) Going back to the bedroom and taking a shot on the teleporter. Whisper can also attempt (shudder) to pick the locks on the other chests, although I view that as a last resort at this point. The DCs to beat the traps are insane for our level.
3) Going down the tunnel and taking a shot that it has an exit and isn't totally filled with water.

Best case may be 1, although I am thinking that (hopefully) killing it from the tunnel may be a good idea before we go back in that room. Granted, the only one who knows about it is the drow, so Whisper won't suggest that COA.

And unfortunately the drow has become a bit of a dick, I also think that the purple thing will react with the plant life in the tunnel if we try kill it. As for the chests I think we would have better chance "remotely detonating it".

So as for hitting the purple thing who can muster up the most burst? I'm out assuming my bow won't work under water or will it magic n all? Creamsteak I am at your mercy.

We could try make a diving bell out of the open chest if we all grab the dwarf we should sink.... its crazy enough to work....

OOC: I'm not positive on underwater combat rules, obviously in real life bow hunting only works to depths that are for D&D purposes usually point blank, but game wise I'd probably just half your range and give it disadvantage.

Anyone else feel where being over cautious? I mean the only bad thing that's happened thus far is a trapped chest. Other than a blind coffin dweller and a strange plant pit thing place seems empty maybe we just jump in the circle.
