Yes, I think so. And it kills CR 0.5 outright, I think. Not sure since I don't have character sheet handy.

I looked it up. I decided to let you go for it right away.

I'm not sure yet if it's my new format, having to do it twice, or the ridiculously large group of characters, but this is taking me forever to resolve, and I don't even have a full round to do. (It's probably all three).

At any rate, I opted to send Kurzon forward at the end of Round Zero, so he can still attack when River gets a chance to post. Mord, Sesto, and Lorenn have gone for round one. Everyone else can still go.

This isn't quite how I mean for this to go, still some kinks to work out...

I've figured it out... it isn't my experimental initiative system that's having troubles... it's that this fight is just too damn big to test it. 18 party members (including NPCs) and 19 bad guys is a bit much for a quick experiment. Sorry about that. It'll probably make more sense when I try it again when the groups are split back up.

Huzza cleric!

Question - if Udit was to take a shot at the mercenaries in the lower right portion of the map, do they have cover (because of the combatants in between). Is there an elevated vantage point?

It's tough to see the third dimention on the map, but while the ledge (shore) near the pillar of the sun rises quite high out of the water, the tunnel to the pit of teeth goes down from the lower lake. So Torbin's position, for example, is only really good to shoot at enemies coming down the tunnel. (Something I probably should have mentioned to 'Goyle.)

Anyone in front of Udit is also above him, is what I am saying. That said, I only usually award cover to targets when the cover is near them. If you're far from your target and there are people halfway between you and them, you'd be lobbing your arrows over them, just by the basic nature of archery. Does that work here? I will have to check.

I've assumed that it would work and posted. Feel free to modify the result if you think it wouldn't quite work out...

I'm starting to wrap my head around how the changes I wanted to make work. It suddenly occurred to me "How is this LESS work than how you were doing it before? You are going to post MORE!"

And then I remembered: the goal was to make individual posts easier. I like posting. I just don't like spending an hour of work first. So little posts responding to people right away might ultimately seem like a lotta work, but it's a lot less time trying to figure out what just happened and juggling who-did-what-when. This has the virtue that people will have a clearer idea of what has happened so far, when they take their turn. A couple of kinks to work out still, but I think it will work.
