Raza Thulcandra

"The inflexible branch breaks before the willow," she responded cryptically to Kago. She pulled a strap tight and continued the donning of her armor.

Round 11

Brinn moved forward. The groan of iron bending against its will cried through the air, beating its way past the roar of the waterfall. One of the quaggi bent the iron bars of the cell on the platform nearest the large stalactite. The quaggoth disappeared inside the cell. Another quaggoth loped down the southernmost rope bridge and entered the far guard shack; there was a shout of consternation, then the door to the shack closed leaving only the muffled sounds of hand-to-hand combat. A third quaggoth disappeared around the rear side of a stalactite on the platform, leaving only a fourth quaggoth visible inside the small stalactite at the far end of the platform.

Inside the armory, Raza continued donning armor, and was aided by Jimjar.

"Brinn, you may think of it as baubles, but I'd quite like to have someone in heavy armour on the front line, so let's try and give them some time, can we?

And may I also suggest focusing on the drow for now, and trying to stay out of the way of those quaggi? We don't want to be fighting on two fronts, do we?"

Action: keep on readying an action to cast Create Bonfire in between Solace & the door, if she disengages.

End of Round 11, start of Round 12

Kamael held his ground and continued to hold a spell at the ready. He stared intently at Solace, ready to intervene at a moment's notice. He heard an odd hissing noise for several beats but couldn't place it. Kamael looked around, unable to see what the deuce was creating the noise, then spied the source of the sound. The waterfall wasn't perfectly verticle; rather, over time the water had sluiced a trough in the limestone wall of the cavern, creating a rocky slide that plummeted toward the chasm floor. The water roaring over the fall beat a different pattern on the slide than it did the lip of the fall. Kamael peered over the rope bridge just a hair. He couldn't see anywhere close to the bottom of the chasm floor, but the slide continued downward for a good ways at least.

Stool brushed past Kamael and trundled closer to Brinn. The myconid seemed ill at ease on the narrow ledge. It nearly lost its footing once on the water-slicked stone.

OOC: Kago's turn, industrygothica. Derendil and Buppido are fleeing along the chasm floor, not that any of you can see them (it's 115' feet from this part of the outpost to the chasm floor, well beyond the limit of your darkvision).

OOC: Raza's saying made me chortle. Such a monk-like thing to say, and how awesome she said it to...Brinn. Ha! Solace is up, Kobold Stew.

In the distance, Solace thought she heard the puff of Turvey's voice, but she couldn't be sure. "There's three of us now. I'm expecting an angry drow on the far side of this door any minute. Are we expecting any more reinforcements any time soon?" she asks, her eyes darting between Kamael and Brinn.

She's posied to act as soon as she hears a response.

[ooc: no actions declared yet -- ]

Seeing Brinn move along towards the howling of the Quaggoths, Solace continues to press against the door, hoping to hold the drow warden at bay. She reaches up to the rope that serves as a handrail for this narrow bridge, and attempts to cast a light spell on it. Her ability to do this had been suppressed in the cell, but perhaps here, she'd be able to put the light-sensitive drow at a disadvantage.
