Kamael says, " I can provide another bonfire for you, if you wish, though I won't eat it myself. Maybe we could use some as bait in traps, for rats & such? "
Kago shows the sorcerer a small bit of quaggoth meat before stuffing it raw into his own mouth. "Good meat, no need for rats. Gruumsh will keep it fresh." In true savage fashion, the concept on conscience is utterly lost on him. He considers Kamael duly informed and returns to his grisly task.
The dagger is all you find on Buppido and Derendil. Per the module, the meat will keep for one day (raw or cooked, your choice). Eating beyond that will require a Con save. Again, I'll update the DC later today. What I'm seeing is that the party is going to finish their long rest in place for the next hour, then break camp and resume marching. Yes? If so, I'll need someone to declare a short, normal, or fast march pace. First person other than lowkey13 (who called it last time) to spot this and respond gets to call it.
So it turns out the module does not specify a Constitution saving throw DC for eating spoiled meat, and the only pre-specified effect of eating spoiled meat is vomiting. Depending on facts, I very well might layer on the potential to suffer the nauseated condition. The Con DC will therefore be something I provide on a case-by-case basis, probably largely dependent on what it is you're attempting to choke down. Additionally, there's another potential effect that you'd need to roll for but, in the interest of not spoiling things (PUN!), I decline to say what that is at this time.
Raza drew her knife and knelt down to assist Brinn and Kago with the grim business of butchery. She had a deft hand and occasionally popped a thin strip of meat into her mouth to chew on. She found devouring bits of a sentient being repugnant but she was nothing if not pragmatic and ate enough to keep her going for the day ahead. After a few minutes of work she motioned Brinn towards the area where the group had been sleeping.
"You should bed back down, get some sleep while you can. Kago and I will finish here."

The remainder of the long rest passed uneventfully. Kago, Brinn, and Raza carved off strips of flesh from Derendil's frame, eating some and storing bits for later. Solace ate. Shuushar ate. Jimjar ate. Only Kamael and Stool did not. The myconid sproutling had no orifice; instead, it seemed to be able to soak nutrient from rock and air.
OOC:
In the space of 59 minutes and 42 seconds, you can get 8 pounds of flesh off Derendil (half what you could get if you spent longer butchering (that phrase makes me cringe)), but spending longer would mean you forgo your long rest benefit, and I highly doubt anyone wants that to occur. If each of you eat one pound of flesh, that would leave two pounds leftover for the day. Or you can eat it all now. If you're saving two pounds for later, let me know.
