D&D 5E (2014) Out of the Abyss IC

OOC: Solace, in the shadows at K11 is fine.

Initiative: [roll0] (note: I realize I had been dithering on which feat to take. I'll just take the ASI in Dexterity, rather than continue to leave it undecided.)

Raza Thulcandra

Raza sighed and glanced at Brinn and Kago surprised they weren't halfway down the passageway already.

Ignoring the pair of kuo-toa guards on the ledge, Kamael darted forward, casting create bonfire as he strode. Bright flickering flames filled the passageway to the west where it narrowed. As he moved to stand next to his magical fire, Kamael noticed three more kuo-toa approaching from the west. Shadows further back indicated there were additional creatures approaching from that direction.

Raza Thulcandra

Raza followed after Brinn as quickly as she could and still remain quiet. Sometimes it was good to maintain a bit of surprise, if it came to a combat. She used the darkness and Brinn's greater mass to mask her approach. She drew her dagger and held it loosely in hand.

[sblock=OOC]Move to J9, please, and draw dagger.
Action: Hide, using a halfling's Natural Stealth to get the opportunity to hide.

Kamael looked over his left shoulder, at the guards on the ledge, to see if they were aiming missile weapons at him. He also kept a close eye through the blaze at the approaching guards, ready to dodge any attacks.
"Kago, can you take my place here before they arrive?"

OOC: Kamael is taking the Dodge action, and will use Shield if necessary. If Kago can get to his position, he will squeeze against the north wall. BTW, can F11 be occupied?

Brinn moved forward and tensed to fight. When he addressed the kuo-toa on the ledge, the bigger of the two lowered his trident a hair and paused. Judging by the set of its shoulders and stance, the creature had been about to throw the trident at Kamael, but it stopped short of doing so and considered Brinn. Raza shrank against the wall and drew a dagger. The kuo-toas' eyes flitted over her, not stopping and not paying heed; it seemed they either didn't notice her or didn't deem her a threat. Kamael called for Kago, then pressed himself against the north wall and prepared defensive measures.

OOC: F11 can be occupied. The protocol for Kamael to activate shield is when he suffers more than 5 hp damage, with the caveat that the burden to restate a lower activation threshold rests with the player when Kamael is concentrating (which he is, on create bonfire), or "when fighting ghouls or monsters with poison." Solace is hidden and presently unseen. At the moment, no one has attacked. She readies and action, ready to fire at any Koa-toa guard who attacks a member of the party. She hopes this won't come to conflict, but she must be ready if it does.

OOC: (action)Ready action.
If the trigger occurs, she will fire (reaction),
and then (bonus action) use cunning action to attempt to re-hide.
