I have met with people, like friends from the UK who were amazed at the heat once one steps out of the convention center. Friends in California have asked if the winters are bad here, and I have to say it's the summer, and they are like "the summer?"

I first visited Seattle in April, some years back. It was during a heatwave and the temps got up to the low 90s Fahrenheit. To me it felt like maybe the low-mid 70s. A couple of days ago we hit 35C/93F, before taking humidity into account. That usually adds the equivalent of 7-10C to how it feels.

Road tripping, and stopped in at the last remaining store of the Pizza chain I worked at in the late 80s/start of 90s.

I assume the real balloon (that once blocked the signal from a Notre Dame game iirc) hasn't flown in years, The slice of the day list has changed too, Taco and Cheeseburger are the only ones I remember from the current list (I am pretty sure they used to have Teriyaki, Denver Omelet, stuffed, and Sausage & Pepperoni on the list).
