I have met with people, like friends from the UK who were amazed at the heat once one steps out of the convention center. Friends in California have asked if the winters are bad here, and I have to say it's the summer, and they are like "the summer?"

Growing up in California, summers were the greatest time of year, not just because you're a kid but also just the weather. Nothing prepared me for a move out to the East Coast.

And it's also possible to both enjoy something completely and want to improve/customize it. Most folks like to customize their pizza...but I've seen threads where any customizations at all are used as indictments against the whole establishment.

Wishing the pizzeria had jalapeños on their toppings list isn't the same thing as being dissatisfied with the whole shop.

Yeah, but if its core enough and you can't cook it yourself, it still means you're going to be chronically unhappy there, so there's a question of why you stick to it, and one of the possible answers is "I don't know if I'd like anything better" or in some cases "I barely know where another pizza shop is."
