Hot take: Mimics should be as accurate in their duplications as AI art is. The less complicated the thing it's trying to imitate is, the better a job the mimic does, but things get weird very quickly as the complexity goes up.

Dopplegangers face the same issues, but they're smart enough to know how to conceal the parts they had a hard time with.

Honestly, even as I (finally) am climbing up the economic scale, bought presents mean less and less to me all the time. I'd much rather have a jar of someone's homemade pickles or chili or their kickass chocolate chip cookies, etc., than some piece of plastic they got at a big box store, any day of the week.
That was me at 14, but I grew up poor. :LOL:
Same. Other than RPGs or books, I'd always rather have something someone made themselves. It's so much more personal.

I was wondering when I'd get a "mention" in this thread. Not that I've been trying or anything. I am just aware of how much of an outlier I am around here about a great many things, so it was only a matter of time really.
