Ahhh, yeah, it's probably just not an area I'm as familiar with. You have not met any Trekkers then. (They’re the ones who get offended if you call them “Trekkies”.)

Honestly, even as I (finally) am climbing up the economic scale, bought presents mean less and less to me all the time. I'd much rather have a jar of someone's homemade pickles or chili or their kickass chocolate chip cookies, etc., than some piece of plastic they got at a big box store, any day of the week.
Same. Other than RPGs or books, I'd always rather have something someone made themselves. It's so much more personal. That was me at 14, but I grew up poor.![]()

Wouldn't that mean that your post here should be in the discussion thread? For the last time:
The D&D Memes Thread is for memes only. Commentary, arguments, and everything else goes in the discussion thread.
I was wondering when I'd get a "mention" in this thread. Not that I've been trying or anything. I am just aware of how much of an outlier I am around here about a great many things, so it was only a matter of time really. Not related to the obvious.
Well, someone's dying on this hill. Better you than me.
