D&D 5E Princes of the Apocalypse- Renwick the Lich and the Knights of Sammular **Spoilers**

Fellow DM's, does anyone have any advice or inspiration regarding making an interesting adventure out of the Summit Hall location in Princes of the Apocalypse?

My group of players has decided to help Renwick the Lich recover his brother's body from Summit Hall. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions on resources to help flesh this out into an interesting encounter? The adventure is light on details here.

My group just tried to attack him....:/

But, maybe give the story some life. Like maybe put in an evil wizard that's trying to get Renwick's attention. Maybe he wants to become a lich, but doesn't know how, and he wants Renwick's help. So he stole Renwick's brother's corps and is holding it ransom. If your party didn't start at lvl 1, you could totally use the crazy necromanser from there.
