"Most excellent," Trebuchet stated in the warm tones of one praising a child on well-done work. "It is, as they say, about time. Ya all."

The warmech held out its right arm, and brass plates ka-chacked apart, revealing tiny clamps that were each holding sections of metal that fit together like pieces of a puzzle. The clamps whirred and moved, pressing those bits of metal to one another in the configuration of a long, sharp blade.

Trebuchet removed the blade from those clamps and gripped its base with both hands, testing its weight and integrity. Satisfied, it rested the new weapon casually back over its left shoulder, still holding it with its right hand.

"Ready to proceed!"

Lane stepped forward to where she could get a good look at at least some of the warehouse- without getting too close. From whatever pocket in her clothing it normally lay in, she again produced that slender blade, this time lowly, almost reverently. She drew the edge carefully across the ball of her thumb, drawing forth another bright bead of blood- one which she smeared upon a tiny wooden carving that she wore around her neck. She made a soft sound- humming? purring? and then cocked her head as if listening. After a moment, she smiled.

Another bead of blood seeped forth, and this one she touched to each of her eyelids in turn- with that done, she looked up and down the length of the warehouse again. A moment later, the dagger had returned to its hidden sheath, and the tiny smear of blood was gone from her eyes- as if it had never been there.

Lane looks over the warehouse with her enhanced senses taking the scene before her all in. At first, the was nothing out of the ordinary (an abandoned and boarded up warehouse), until, just for a second, something moved on the roof. She then gets a good look at whatever it is as it leans out a bit to get a good look at the group... a small bluish skinned, bat-winged creature with horns!!! It was no more then a foot, maybe a foot-and-a-half foot tall.

GM: Lane can make an Arcana or Religious check to determine what it is...
[sblock=DC15]It is an Imp, a minor demon-like creature. They malicious and devious creatures whom some sages believe are formed from the souls of evil children.[/sblock]
[sblock=DC20]It is said that they have the ability to turn invisible and/or shapeshift into small animals and birds. There are greater types but they also tend to be larger in size.[/sblock]

Giuseppe peered at the building, getting a bad feeling about the place.

OOC: Senses are only Darkvision at the moment. If he feels there may be a magical threat, he may infuse Detect Magic.

Perception - [roll0] (+5 for traps)

There appear to be no traps or alarms on the door. There are not locked either, just boarded up and nailed shut.

GM: EDIT: I also forgot to mention that Lane was able to identify the strange burnt smell around the area of the warehouse as having a strong brimstone smell to it

As Lane mentions this, Grynm 'feels' undead moving closer within the warehouse. They are still on the other side of the wall and he does not get a sense of numbers or precise locations.

"Wonderful," Eli said, twirling his revolver a few times on his finger before returning it to a ready position. "And on the first day of the job, too. Ain't England wonderful?"
