Happy New Year, guys!

I'd just note that Fragsie just completed this spectacular image of Rhole:

Will try to update this evening, if I don't get to it I'll be on a train all day tomorrow so NPC me.

Priority is to finish off this bowman and then go take the pressure off everyone else.
[/sblock]

Ironheart kicks the bowman while it's down, and turns his back on it. It whimpers in pain as the root hits it like a club, and rolls away into the bushes. Ironheart ignores it and leaps over the creek to land firmly on the far bank. He glances back and forth between the panther and his knot of friends, then turns his back on them too and saunters nonchalantly up to the dragon, axe over his shoulder.

When he reaches it, he bows his head and says, "At your service, sir. Is there anything we can do for you?"

[sblock=Actions]
Standard: Strength of Stone on Bowman: Strength of Stone on Bowman (hit: +2 combat advantage) (1d20+9+2=22, 1d10+10=14) Hit AC 22 for 14 damage, push it to J1, and gain 4 temp hp
Free: Mark bowman with Nature's Wrath
Move: to Q9, then P10, leaping the creek: Acrobatics to leap creek (1d20+10=30) Lept 15 feet from a standing start.

Note that I'm specifically not marking the dragon or making any threatening moves - just standing next to it.

Do I know this dragon? I think I was supposed to know Lord Arnamil by reputation - is this him?

“Unholy Great Gods of the Beat, woman!” Rhole scorns the harpy, breaking up her song with a series of mighty wails from the Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper.

“Could you do us all a favor and kill that choir of asthma-suffering kittens you get jammed down your throat?!”

The bard’s words sting like a hail of needles and his music forces her towards him, like a karma-sated dose of her own medicine (except that Rhole’s work sounds much better).

The harpy's song is getting easier to ignore. Derien turns to face it: "Witless beast. You'll get no favour from your Lord Arnamil, now or ever again."

Haruka cups her hands together and blows into them, as though to warm them in cold weather. When she separates them, a burning red ember is lying in her palm, which she then flings at the winged monstrosity. The ember flies straight as an arrow, but misses, embedding itself in a tree and quickly crumbling into ash. Haruka gasps in pain as burns appear and quickly fade across her hands.

[sblock=THB]
Sadly, her reflex is 16[/sblock]

Dazed and somehow unable to move her feet, Ikni whirls her sword in a tight arc, sending a blast of force out at the two adjacent enemies. It is not her most powerful blow ever, but both foes feel the sting.

[sblock=adjacent]
Actually, harpy is in T17, not adjacent. I've rolled damage for Booming Blade instead (an assumption here htat you'd prefer it over something else). If you'd rather do something else let me know - damage (1d8 5=12) damage this turn + damage (1d6 4=8) if it moves away[/sblock]

The eldritch knight continues to try and hold off the attackers in front of him with parrying blows.

The archer is lying on her side, lifeblood all around her, but a grim determination is in her eyes as she painfully reaches into her quiver. "You *cough* should have killed me when you had a chance" she calls out, blood coming from her cough, ruining the finely crafted fey clothing she wears. With amazing grace she nocks a pair of arrows, whispering a few arcane words, the flaming bolts strike Ironheart in the back and this time the projectiles are devastating as they find weak spots in the wood woad's hide. Fires spring up from the arrows and the large creature falls to the ground, unmoving.

The panther reappears and charges forward, but Derien saw the foe coming and sidesteps the swiping paws.

The dragon looks down on Ironheart, nudging the fallen creature with his clawed foot, then flies next to Derien. The massive beast opens his mouth wide and suddenly a burst of prismatic energy emits from its open maw. The dazzling lights slam into all the standing heroes and the unfortunate swordsman. Amazingly, Haruka, Rhole, and the swordsman don't succumb to the splendid colours, but Ikni and Derien catch the brunt of the blast, their vision gone in a rainbow of dancing lights.

[sblock=ooc]

sword 20 - total defense - save (1d20=2) still dazed double-Yowzers.

bow fires two shots at Ironheart - vs ref; damage (1d6 fire) (1d20 8=17, 1d10 1d6=6, 1d20 8=20, 1d10 1d6=15) Even with cover and the -2 to attack rolls from being prone, she hits twice for 21 damage, dropping Ironheart.

panther charges Derien - vs ac; dmg (1d20 10=16, 2d6 4=10) miss...

Harpy moves back and then takes total defense - fails to recharge...again, but save (vs ongoing acid) (1d20 2=17) no longer burning

Dragon - flies to current location then unleashes a Prismatic breath - catches all of the still conscious PC's and the unlucky swordsman - vs will (derien, haruka, ikni, rhole, sword); radiant damage (1d20 9=23, 1d20 9=12, 1d20 9=24, 1d20 9=12, 1d20 9=11, 2d6 4=14, 1d6=6) well... that certainly could have been more devastating, but Derien and Ikni are both hit for 14 radiant, blinded (save ends) and it recharges the breath weapon.

Well - Ikni looks like he might take the record for most effects on him at once (3 currently)

Those in the water, please make an Athletics DC 18 roll on your turn, else you are pushed 3 squares to the west.

Status:
sword 10: dead
sword 20: -52hp, cursed by Haruka, used Feywild Challenge & Stab of the Entangling Wild, bloodied, dazed (save ends)

Rhole: 24/29 - immobilized (save ends)
Haruka: 29/40 - marked by sword 20 (if you attack someone besides him you take 4 untyped dmg), dazed (save ends)
Ironheart- -1/49 - bloodied, dying, prone
Ikni: 7/43 - bloodied, immobilized (save ends), dazed (save ends), blinded (save ends)
Derien: 9/31 - blinded (save ends)
Bow - -47hp; prone, marked by Ironheart, takes 1d10+5 damage the first time it stands, bloodied
Panther: -8 hp, dazed (save ends)
Init:
bad guys; ironheart; ikni; rhole; derien; haruka (1d20 6=11, 1d20 1=12, 1d20 2=16, 1d20 2=14, 1d20 4=19, 1d20 2=12) Everyone goes first, then them...

[sblock=Tactics]Ok. This is still winnable.

We have to kill that Archer ASAP, we have to kill the Harpy before it gets its dazing attack back, and we have to get Ikni unblinded, undazed, and unimmobilized. I can help with none of those things, so have some healing instead.[/sblock]Derien cannot see, but that's fine. He can still hear the rushing of the river, the gasping of the panther, the horror-woman's worried keening. He can still feel the dragon's hot breath in his face, the eddies of air as it beats its wings. He can still taste...his own blood, mostly. But it's something.

Eyes are redundant anyway.

Derien moves, quick and careful. Away from the dragon, away from the panther, toward the laughing river. If I can contain the dragon, and sustain everyone for just a little while...[sblock=Actions]Move: Shift to P14.

Standard: Astral Condemnation on the dragon. 13 versus Reflex, 10 damage, but more importantly, whether the attack hits or misses the dragon's attacks now deal 6 less damage each. This will last for as long as I can sustain it. Not much use against the breath weapon, but that should at least keep the claw/claw/bite nonsense to a minimum.

Action Point Standard: Healer's Mercy, enabling Ironheart, Ikni, and Derien to spend a healing surge and recover 4 additional hit points.

Minor: healing word, Ironheart may spend a healing surge and recover 9 additional hit points.

[sblock=ooc]It would be helpful if someone (Ikni or Rhole) could kill Sword 20 before I take my turn, so that I don't need to suffer the mark any more. I'm pretty sure swordburst works at full effectiveness even if you're blinded. Then I could take a second shot at burning down the harpy.

Also ren, Ikni's still a girl.[/sblock]

[sblock=Tactics]
Whew, thanks.

The bowman can't shoot from its belly forever, can it? It's got -4 to hit us due to being prone and our cover, and as soon as it stands it takes damage. Ironheart's in trouble because his Reflex sucks so much, but the rest of us should be ok. I can charge back over there and hit it again if necessary, though.

Ikni, what happens if I overwrite your mark on the panther? I think your mark's more powerful than mine, but you've got a lot of other enemies to worry about over there right now.
