Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

Ironheart finds himself lying on the bridge and creaks to his feet. Taking stock of the battle, a cunning plan forms in his slow-moving sap-like brain. He steps off the bridge and wades through the swamp towards one of the chokers, slashing at it with his axe to distract its attention; then he whirls and charges back over the bridge towards the hag, barreling into her and forcing back a step. Weedy tendrils erupt from the swamp to grasp at her limbs and hinder her movements.

Having drawn the ire of two attackers two himself, Ironheart hopes he can survive their
attention...

"Lemon tree, very pretty, and the lemon flower is sweet..." Why thank you, Rhole!

IC is down, and I must be an idiot because I can't see any sort of "register" link at the OOTS forums so I can't log in. So I'm rolling at Online Dice Roller - join the group "Ring of the Fey Lord" to see them. (The link says my first attack was against the Creeper, but I changed my mind after rolling.)

I don't think there's much point in my marking the Hag - she has area attacks that will include me and you. I'll get on Choker 2, since it looks like Choker 1 could be taken out soon.

No, wait - this is awesome:

accept the move to N10
Minor: Wood Woad Resolve: regain 3 hp, plus 3 thp

If monster 1 is alive:
Move: to K12
Standard: attack Monster 1 with Earth Shield Strike, using Student of Two-Handed Weapons to get +1 to the attack and mark it: hit AC 18 for 20 damage. It is marked until the end of my next turn, and I have +1 AC until then.

Otherwise:
Move: to K10
Standard: attack Monster 2 as above

After this:
AP to attack the Hag with Fearsome Ram Attack: shift to K13, then hit Fort 11 for 28 damage. Seems unlikely to be a hit. If it hits, 28 damage, push her to O12, and knock her down, and I shift to O11. Otherwise, 14 damage, push her to M15, and I shift to L14.
Free action: use Nature's Wrath to mark all adjacent targets (the creeper and hag if I hit, just the hag if I missed)

[sblock=Aha!]Turns out Ikni has resist 5 thunder (versatile resistance feat), so the Hag's howl only did 4 damage, not 9. If I count right, she's at 1+5+7+5=18 HP. Hey, she's not even bloodied!

Not that she isn't still in a lousy position, mind.

I don't suppose you'd let me attack the choker's tentacle, if I'm grabbed?

Don't forget that even though RHole healed you and slid you, you are still prone, so that'll need to be factored into your actions[/sblock]

At least from the (suggested) position where Rhole slid Ironheart he can attack the hag or the creeper, then potentially use an Action Point to charge any of the two chokers.

So it may all end up close to what he had planned, by switching around the order of his actions.[/sblock]

Crap. Abort!

I also just noticed that I can get adjacent to both chokers, which is potentially a better use of Nature's Wrath. So assuming Monster 1 is alive (if not, tell me and I'll change my action again), I think I am going to change to:

Accept a slide to N11
Minor: WarforgedWood Woad Resolve
Move: Stand
Standard: attack the Creeper, marking it with Student of Two-Handed Weapons (same roll as last time, so hit AC 18 for 20 damage, marked until EONT, +1 AC until then
AP: Fearsome Ram Attack: shift to K9, attack Monster 1 (same roll as last time, so hit Fort 11 for 28 damage, 14 on a miss)

If that kills it: stay where I am, Nature's Wrath marks Monster 2
If that hits but does not kill it: push it to L13, shift to K13, Nature's Wrath marks Monster 1 and the Hag
If that misses: do not push it, stay where I am, Nature's Wrath marks Monster 1 and Monster 2

Ikni writhes and twists, but cannot pull herself away from the choking tendril.

[sblock=actions]Move: escape grab, Athletics 15 vs. Fort just barely succeeds, I think. Oh, wait; I forgot the -4 penalty, so that's a fail.
Standard: Try again: natural 1. Well, I guess I'm stuck here.

I'm tempted to mark it using Aegis, but I don't really think that's necessary. It can't make OAs while it has me grabbed, and it's pretty likely to squeeze me or whatever this round. If Ironheart has it marked, that will probably be better.
