[sblock=OOC]

If monster 1 is alive:
Move: to K12
Standard: attack Monster 1 with Earth Shield Strike, using Student of Two-Handed Weapons to get +1 to the attack and mark it: hit AC 18 for 20 damage. It is marked until the end of my next turn, and I have +1 AC until then.

Otherwise:
Move: to K10
Standard: attack Monster 2 as above

After this:
AP to attack the Hag with Fearsome Ram Attack: shift to K13, then hit Fort 11 for 28 damage. Seems unlikely to be a hit. If it hits, 28 damage, push her to O12, and knock her down, and I shift to O11. Otherwise, 14 damage, push her to M15, and I shift to L14.
Free action: use Nature's Wrath to mark all adjacent targets (the creeper and hag if I hit, just the hag if I missed)
[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
Crap. Abort!

I also just noticed that I can get adjacent to both chokers, which is potentially a better use of Nature's Wrath. So assuming Monster 1 is alive (if not, tell me and I'll change my action again), I think I am going to change to:

You initially had a if alive, if dead post, but then had the second post (bold mine) after that. I'll roll with the first post's actions.

Oh, damn. No, don't use the first actions, I definitely abandoned that idea.

I'll take my turn AGAIN.

Ironheart creaks to his feat and lashes out at the cloaked figure, cutting it deeply. Suddenly he notices that Ikni is in trouble and steps off the bridge to charge through the swamp at his attacker. His axe misses, but he crashes into it with his toughened body, forcing it back away from its prey. As it moves through the swamp tendrils of fresh green plant life snake up above the water to entangle it.

[sblock=Actions]
Move: stand
Minor: Wood Woad Resolve - gain 3 hp and 3 thp
Standard: Attack Cloak with Earth Shield Strike, using Student of 2H Weapons: Earth Shield Strike on Cloak (w/+1 for Student of 2H Weapons) (1d20+8+1=22, 1d10+10=17) Hit AC 22 for 17 damage, +1 AC and it is marked until EONT.
AP: Fearsome Ram attack: shift to K9 and attack the Choker: Fearsome Ram Attack on Choker (targets Fort) (1d20+8=13, 2d10+10=25) Hits Fort 13 for 25. I believe that misses, so push it to J7 and shift to J8. (If by some miracle it hits, push it to J5 and shift to J6.) Either way, that should break the hold.
Free: mark the choker with Nature's Wrath

Ironheart creaks to his feat and lashes out at the cloaked figure, cutting it deeply. Suddenly he notices that Ikni is in trouble and steps off the bridge to charge through the swamp at his attacker. The choker sees the warrior charging his way as well and as the axe descends towards him, the creature gets knocked away but maintains it's grip on Ikni.

[sblock=ooc]
The push still wasn't enough to break the grab however (it has reach 2)
[/sblock]

Ikni writhes and twists, but cannot pull herself away from the choking tendril.

The choker continues to strangle Ikni, but Ironheart's anger is palatable and his heavy weapon falls hard on the creature. As the warden's weapon crashes into the choker, it's arms reflexively tighten around its meal and Ikni's breath is crushed from her lungs as she now lies limp in the creatures grasp.

The hag steps next to Haruka, her face still in the kindly old woman's facade as she says "Oh dearie we have a pact him and I, far greater powers than he keep us fey lords from fighting. Why do you think he sent you?" she taunts as she unleashes an ear-piercing scream that slams into all the party, but only Derien withstands most of its effects. Ikni's inborn resistance to thunder keeps her alive, for now.

[sblock=OOC]
Choker triggers Warden's Wrath - vs fort; dmg (1d20 8=27, 1d10 10=19) Nearly Crits, but hits for 19 damage
It chokes Ikni - vs fort; dmg (1d20 9=23, 1d8 3=6) hits for 6 damage, not dying though

Woman uses her Shriek of Pain - vs fort (Derien, Ikni, Ironheart, Haruka, Rhole); thunder damage (1d20 6=7, 1d20 6=24, 1d20 6=21, 1d20 6=20, 1d20 6=11, 2d8 4=6) Hits Ikni for 1 (after resistance), Ironheart, Haruka, and Rhole for 6; misses Derien (1/2 dmg on miss)
psychic dmg (1d6=4) 4 damage if you end in aura 5 (everyone is right now)

Cloaked figure uses Dark Move and moves next to Rhole - vs ac; dmg (1d20 9=12, 1d4 4=5, 1d6=5) misses

Status:

ooc: ouch! I was afraid of that. Darn chokers. There's an argument to be made that if Ikni was the target, she'd have been pushed 1 and thus escaped the grab. But the followup attack would still hit her AC and drop her, so not much point.

I actually struggled with this mightily as Ironheart only has a reach of 2 with his axe and Ikni was 3 away. The interrupt makes Ikni the target so I thought it might pull her next to it so it could absorb the attack (then push you 1 from there and shifter Ironheart into your spot. Even if the Choker attacked Ironheart, the 1 point of thunder damage would've also brought you to 0

Beneath Ikni, the water roils and glows. Any water, however stagnant, may still be a conduit for Netari's power. But Derien's mind isn't on his catechism. "Is that all there is to the lords of the fey? Idle scheming and empty plots? What a waste this trip has been."[sblock=Actions]Move: to J12
Minor: Healing Word to Ikni, restoring her to 0, then restoring 9 plus her healing surge value hit points.
Standard: Lance the Hag! 24 versus Reflex, 9 damage. +2 to hit goes to Haruka.

"Why do you think he sent you?"

With blood streaming from her nose and still reeling from the psychic and sonic (and radiant) onslaught, Haruka still manages to snarl a response back at the fey.

"Because he's a sadist, just like every other denizen of this gods-forsaken forest? It never occurred to me that he was clever enough to have an ulterior motive. Or that he was smart enough to know what 'ulterior' means."

She clenches her hand into a fist, causing black and red flames flare up around it. She reaches out to touch the Lady, but as soon as her fingers make contact, the flames die out, with only a few sparks jumping to the Lady's clothing. Haruka stares at her empty hand in surprise. For once there is no anger in her eyes, only shock and fear.

Reaching behind her, she tries to grab onto the bridge with her left hand. However, since her gaze is still locked on her right, she fails to find a handhold.

[sblock=Actions]Ok, IC, here's how it works. My LEB character can only hit with At-wills, and my L4W character can only hit with encounters and dailies. That's the pattern that you set up, so I'm going to expect you to hold to it. You hear me?

Standard: Flames of Phlegethos the Lady. Yes, this draws an OA, but as long as she doesn't deal 12 damage I still get it off. And if she does less than 8 then I'm still standing at the end of my turn. Ok, +2 from Lance, +1 from Prime Shot. Let's go. That's a [expletive deleted] three. Hey, at least she still takes 5 ongoing fire, right? That was worth it, right? Right? *sobs*
Move: Ugh, why bother. Oh fine, Acrobatics to get up onto the bridge, if I'm still alive. Failed, but it is comforting to know that if I had gotten that random number first, I probably would have hit with the daily.
Minor: Drink myself into an alcoholic stupor.

Oh goodness I'm screwed. IC, you're dead to me.[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
How did I hit Ikni? I rolled a 13, her Fort is 14. Also, I looked up the Choker's ability to see if it had some sort of "you auto-hit your ally" clause, and it says: "when targeted by a melee or a ranged attack against Reflex or AC". Fearsome Ram Attack targets Fort.

Also, why can't I interrupt it on its turn? I guess it doesn't matter since my attack didn't actually invalidate its action.

Oh, and why am I prone?
[/sblock]

[sblock=Tactics]
Assuming the prone thing is a mistake, I'm 1 square away from being able to get adjacent to both the cloaked figure and the hag next turn. If Rhole could slide me 1 somehow, that would be awesome. (My plan is to take my Second Wind and mark as many monsters as I can get adjacent to.)
