Ring of the Fey Lord (DM:Atanatotatos, Judge:Lord Sessadore)Up:Lorik, etc.

Mid-Round Update...

"Hey, I don't break your toys!" Haruka shouts as Ironheart falls. She struggles to break out of the beast's grip, but this time she is unable to escape. She manages to slip a hand free to send a quick blast of fire at her captor, but she groans as the creature twists past her flames. Not again...

"You're dead, witch. Arnamil's been watching us the whole time. The only reason he hasn't stamped you out himself is because he finds our efforts entertaining. Even if we fall, he knows you have his ring. Whatever purpose you have for stealing it you had best fulfill soon."

I really hate marsh water, Derien reflects, as the hag's power plows him through it. It's so still, so dark - water should flow.

But the only way out is forward.

As Derien fires off his golden lance of energy at the monster, it twists and turns, dodging the blast and the lance strikes into Haruka instead.

A snappy riff from the Great Ultra-Intense Thundering Audio Ripper instills a sudden surprising urge in Haruka to tap-dance a few feet around, stretching the limits of the choker’s grip on her. Rhole darts between the two nearby combatants, limbo-dances under the choker’s taut limb, and ends up striking a pose before the hag in preparation for his next performance.

“You know how it goes, Mamajama. If a tree dude falls in the forest, does it make a sound? Well, I gots the answer right here!”

The snazzy bard plays off a surprisingly calm and melodic tune with toned down amplification, stirring Ironheart to rise from his slumber and feel the rhythm moving him about. The wood woad finds inexplicable small lemon seeds sprouting on him upon his awakening.

Finally, Rhole spins about and instills a hypnotic pitch to the music, focusing it on the choker he just slid under. The monster feels its resolve weaken as its mind is overwhelmed by the mental assault. It slumps into the swamp water, its limp arms cease their grip on Haruka as she feels the Oni rewarding her. (ooc - how many temp hp do you get THB?)

[sblock=ooc]There's something I've been meaning to ask. On my turn can I shift from the muck to the bridge, since the bridge isn't difficult terrain? That seems weird, since it sounded like there would be enough of an elevation difference to make such an action difficult.[/sblock]

ooc: I don't see Ikni's action in the summary, but I think it stands, unless somehow (forced movement?) the grab is broken for her.

[sblock=ooc]Can I move (or, as is much more likely, be moved) under the bridge?[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Yes (just let me know that you're under it)

Yeah, Ironheart is just before Ikni so just in case his actions changed yours I didn't post Ikni's actions yet.

Uh, I'm pretty sure the action I posted was "if it's still alive, do this, if it's dead, do that". The "do that" part should still stand.

I need to go update the threads I'm DM'ing, not sure if I'll have time to get back to this one today - if the action I posted really makes no sense, go ahead and NPC me.
