Haruka's eyes widen as Ironheart storms forward. She attempts to back away, but she isn't even able to come to standing before Ironheart swings his axe at her, and all she can do is wince away from the blow.
As Ironheart talks, Haruka regains her composure, her eyes narrowing to slits. She opens her mouth to respond, but no sound comes out. She puts a hand on her throat and attempts to speak again, but to no success. Frowning, she quickly reaches into her pack and pulls out a piece of paper. Plucking a charred twig from the ground, Haruka begins to write. She hands the finished note over to Ironheart, standing as she does so.
Even though Haruka was clearly rushed, her handwriting is still very neat.
[sblock=note]You said you would ensure I would harm your precious forest no more than necessary. This was necessary. If it had not burned, I would have.
What good were these plants doing anyway? This grass did not stop the Lady. These reeds did not stop the Lady. Even you were unwilling to stop the Lady. I stopped her, and this was the price.
If you can't read, please hand this over to someone who can.[/sblock]
Haruka begins to brush herself clean of ash and dried mud as she watches for Ironheart's reaction.
