Sex and "adult themes" in game

DM: "Are you sure? The way you're dressed, I'd give you a +4 bonus to Bluff for it."
Player: "Yes, but everything I promise I intend on delivering."
DM: "Diplomacy it is!"

I also had a telepath that was a total slick willie. Bards and Sorcerers, too, seem to have a way with the opposite gender....Paladins, too, but they're more in it for the LOVE than the LUST.

It's always been a "fade to black" moment, once they do the check or cast the spell ("charm person" makes someone friendly...a good Cha check can raise that to "helpful."), but the characters are reoccuring and do have typical romantic escapades.

If the question "how was I?" comes up, I say "Depends, what's your rank in Perform (sexual manuevers)?" Of course, in retrospect, I guess I was just *asking* for the leather-clad bard dominatrix one of my players pulled out after that....

That's how I do it in tabletop games - there can be romance, and there can be sex, but sex very definitely takes place 'off camera' (just as well, since there's a PC IMC aspiring to the Houri Prestige Class) . I'll have more 'adult themes' and allow more sex in some PBEMs (and to a lesser extent IM games), but since a bad experience (involving Teflon Billy, incidentally) I still have a ban on anything XXX even in the most 'adult' PBEM, I keep it to 18/NC-17 rather than XXX/over-21. Some PBEMs I'll run at PG or 15 type level, more like tabletop game.

We don't, however, describe any of the above in any great detail-- it mostly happens off-camera, or someone declares intent and we skip an appropriate amount of time.

We incorporate as much of the BoEF as possible into our campaign. Sex, between PCs and with various NPCs, occurs frequently. We sometimes go into detail, if it's important to the plot, such as a seduction or sex used as a distraction. The PCs spend quite a bit of time when in town visiting brothels.

Usually when we have sexual encounters in game is when we switch to "LARP mode."

Been there, done that. Unless it's a full-fledged orgy with all the pcs involved, it always ends up with someone feeling left out.

You know I will kill you, right?

The comparison is, they're all three bodily functions that ain't really important unless you can't engage in them for awhile, and they're all things I don't want to pretend to do with a roomful of my friends-- male or female.

Sex is a little more important because it's usually associated with a number of other things-- but it's still easily glossed over.
