But they never left.
They left about as much as the Jedi did by the third movie of the first trilogy, but I was referring to the original title of RotJ, being Revenge of the Jedi and then being released at the 11th hour as Return of the Jedi.

The original trailer for Revenge is floating around the net somewhere I'm sure. Here, in fact.

Wow, having been disappointed with each of the previous prequel titles, Revenge of the Sith is the first new Star Wars title in 22 years that I've been happy with. Not to mention last year's Clone Wars being the first good SW cartoons in history. Maybe this last film will have a shot at returning this trilogy to the former glory of the first. Dare I hope...?

I say...dare. With this being it(most likely, though if someone ELSE makes movies...and have them of the X-Wing books or Thrawn Trilogy...bah, different topic) I think we have every right to hope that Lucas can still pull this off. I've defended him before, but if he messes up this last one...I think I'm done defending him.

So...I hope.

It will be an interesting exercise to watch the entire hexalogy in order, from Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi (with Clone Wars inserted between 2 and 3), trying watch it as if seeing the characters for the first time.

Forceuser, I just moved your thread and merged it with this one; hopefully the dual mod action won't cause the boards to freak out. :)

Well, at least we know that one part of the movie won't disappoint.

Hopefully we'll see Anikin going apesh*t on some clones and causing much carnage, instead of whining and griping. Plus, he has to kill JarJar. Twice. By strangling him with his own freaky earflap thingies. In a vat of razorblades and lemon juice.
