The Crux of the Matter

"Wraith?" wonders Hogarth for a moment, not understanding teh word. He suddenly exclamate himself. [SBLOCK=Terran]"She is a wraith?"[/SBLOCK] tells Hogarth [SBLOCK=Terran]"Gundar can ward us."[/SBLOCK]

Rinaldo puts his hand on the cleric shoulder. [SBLOCK=Terran]"She is an undead, but she is not hostile. We won't attack her without her attack us first. She might help, and we will try to free her for her tourment."[/SBLOCK]

As he finish to calm Hogarth, he continue his discussion with the ghostly figure.

"I never spoke a word
That it would be easy
But we are wishing, really
To see you free as a bird

No one should be a slave
I just hope we can save
you and all the others
From the bound of your master

But if we want to beat
Eve, which seems a feat
we need to know her weakness
and where is your mistress"

[SBLOCK=OOC]At least, I try to post speach that worth that +18... not easy to write down these little rhymes when your maternal language is not English :p [/SBLOCK]

(OOC: I'm keeping that in mind--note that the wraith is not only rhyming but also sing-songing to the tune of 'twinkle twinkle little star', not that it matters much)

[SBLOCK=Hogarth's Knowledge Religion / 'Cleric Sense']She doesn't feel like an undead, despite the mention of 'wraith'. Maybe a different kind of wraith?[/SBLOCK]

"Sighhh...I'm bored now. Bye bye, little fly. I'll lay odds on when you die. Hmm, perhaps today!" the wraith flies away, humming to itself, and disappears into the wall.

"It wasn't one." replies Hogarth.

"What?" asks Rinaldo

"A wraith. Maybe an... undead, but not a wraith." answers Hogarth

"Oh! I trust your judgement, but wathever it is, I would prefer it stay some distance from me." tells Rinaldo, he turns to the others. "What do you think?"

"That was... different," Vanitri say.

Vanitri ponders if any of the names pop any ledgends or such to his mind.

OOC: All KN skills check.

"Yeah...it was like that thing was staring at me, but it didn't have eyes...so, where to next?"

[SBLOCK=Van]the names are spoken as if they're names of associates, comrades, enemies, or other people the creature knows, rather than arcane entities or something you would read about in a book[/SBLOCK]

Ashnar follows the "rhyming contest" with some concern. He knew that Rinaldo could out-talk many living creatures, but undead were quite another matter. At the same time, he tried to think back to his own research and training.
