The Long Arm of Lauto:Broken Wards (DM:Ukingsken)

[sblock=Awards]
2 months time xp = 334 each (except vixo who gets 208)

Huh? I'm not following your math. 2 months time xp at level 1 should be 166 xp. 4 months at level 1 would be 332. And, looking at the dates in this thread and the Temple of Lauto thread, I don't think we're up to 2 months yet...

[sblock=ooc] hahahah ooops my bad :S you're right and I dont know what I was thinking at all vaithe. Looking at the time stamps myself, I said 2 because we're over 1 and I still have some wrap up left to do. Whats the policy on partial months?

I get them currently at a month and 15 days, and I imagine it'll be 20 by the time we wrap up here.[/sblock]

I always kind of wondered that. All my adventures have, just by coincidence, ended within a few days of an even number of months.

I'd say round to the nearest week, counting 4 weeks to a month so that for every extra week you give a quarter of a month's experience. That's just my opinion, though, it's not official.

[sblock=ooc]I've awarded partial months before, on the basis of "July has 31 days, and it's the 20th, so you get 20/31 of a month xp".

But, eh, whatever. IMO, DMs should have a fair amount of leeway in the amount of xp they hand out, so long as it is at least time xp plus a reasonable amount for encounters won. If you want to award more, for a quest award or RP award or just to make an even number, I won't stop you.

"This armor seems worthy of Apoli's blessings. I will see if I can recover its essence and incorporate it into my ancestral suit."

Vrrsk't grabs the plate armor and seems ready to return.

not as close as I thought, then. :/

Magnus regarded the shifter's sudden sickness with a quizzical look, studying him as he recovered with remarkable speed, brows furrowing like two angry caterpillars colliding.

Whatever thoughts darkened the doorstep of his mind quickly fled though as the others attentions turned toward the treasures they'd discovered. The glint of silver caught the mad dwarf's eye.

Ooo...circular...

He made a beckoning motion with his hand and in phantasmal grasp the circlet rose into the air and drifted toward the waiting hand of Magnus. His eyes rolled round in their sockets as they followed the never ending line that formed the shape of the thing.

Sorry I've been kind of slow to reply this week, had company and I've been a bit distracted.

The circlet was on Magnus' wishlist, so if no one objects he'll claim it.

By the by ukingsken I tried to reply to your PM back when ENworld was acting wonky so you may have received somewhere between 0 and 2 replies, but I'm definitely interested in continuing on into your next adventure.

After attempting to repair some damage to the tombs around the place Grakk senses that he might be doing more harm than good. This is a job for the clerics of Lauto. He still pays respect to the dead in his own way that he learned when his was a lad in his tribe.

Grakk looks at Vrrsk't, "You ready to go back to the temple?, " then nods to everyone else to see if their coming along. He and Vrrsk't then steps out into the catacomb maze and does his best to retrace his steps.

As you retrace the path through the catacombs, it is evident that the threat is ended. Many of the inscriptions now glow with a subtle golden luminescence. While several tombs near the site of the ritual have doors wedged slightly open, bodies fallen in mid escape wedged between them, for the most part things seem to have returned to normal.

As you approach the main entrance a bright light flares from the other side, and the high priest is illuminated by a golden orb held in his hand. Spotting the scepter he quickly asks.

It is done then? Were you able to salvage the scepter?

As Belingras fires his questions rapidly, he appraises the cuts, scrapes, and bruises each of you sustained. Taking a moment he grasps his holy symbol and intones a prayer, filling the entire hallway with a blinding light that washes away the grime, filth, and injuries you sustained in what has been the longest hour of your lives. Poking his head out from behind the priest, the small halfling who met you upon entering the temple squawks.

Sir will zat be billable? Shall I deduct it from ze remaining payment?

Kamotz appraises the bodies, and picks up the gloves that were forgotten. Leave the bodies, they'll need to be re-sanctified. Don't worry about the repairs, from the look of those pillars, whatever was above them would soon be below them without major repair... Seeing Grakk step out, and Vrrsk't hard on his heels, Kamotz begins to sidle on that way as well.
