Thirst for power (Finished) (Knight Otu judging)

"Ok. We'll just continue about our business then." To Draig he continues, "Though so far I must say I am a bit underwhelmed. I was more impressed by the reception we received in Ravensdale." Beamer walks passed the guard and through the gate.

Beamer´s fast talk confuses the guard enough* to let them come in, but the halfling knows it´s a temporary solution at best: he´ll come to his senses soon. The couple goes through the tower and into the yard: there you can see several sheds, used probably for storage, and some poles of the kind they use to practice with the sword, and some targets, put away against the wall and generally in a sorry state. From here the mist let you make the main tower out, where Idrag is supposed to live; the main door seems to be ajar, and nobody moves near it.

Meanwhile, it´s Banion´s turn to get into the citadel. What will the silent halfling do?

ooc: *succesful Bluff check, as I interpreted Beamer´s action.

Banion walks up to the guard at the gate.

"How does someone get to be a guard around here?"

Banion will attempt to engage him in a conversation about possible recruitment, hopefully distracting him from thinking any further about Beamer's cover story. He'll avoid committing to anything, but will request information as to pay, hours, and other benefits of the position. He won't reveal any of his special abilities, but will indicate that he can handle a weapon and hold his own in a fight.

If the guard suggests he go inside and talk to a superior, so much the better...

Banion starts his chit chat with the guard, and manages to direct the conversation where he wants without being too evident. "Sorry, but we require grown ups here in the guard. Maybe in a few years" says the guard, who evidently thinks he´s very funny. "But I see you brought your own equipment, though you lack a blade. No, I don´t think there are spots available."

After a while he gives up. "Look, maybe if you wait back there you can find an official of something, if you´re lucky." says pointing at the castle´s yard.

Banion walks up to the poles and targets (if that´s what he want to do; there is no other equipment in the yard). They are of the normal kind; the poles are thick pieces of wood you hack with loaded swords to strenghten your arm; and the targets are made of straw so you can recover the arrows or bolts, though at this point they´ll probably be unsafe to use, since the straw is rotten. You´re now halfway to the main tower, and nobody noticed you yet (or if they did they don´t bothered)

ooc: Yes, that's what I meant. Banion is trying to look busy while waiting for the others to make a move.

Draig glances at the sheds, but seeing the main tower ahead, heads over and opens the door so he can see inside.

ooc: Did we heal any hp with the rest of the nights sleep in the house? I'm not sure if it was enough rest or not.
