"There were rumors... about someone in the city involved with the pirates near one lighthouse north of here. I don't know much."

ooc: It occurred to me that this might be a reference to the prior adventure, but Banion thought it suggested there might still be a base out there. Nevermind, then.

Beamer accompanies Draig to talk to Koplov. He also wants to question Nairb later.
And who are you?
"Some of your council members hired us to investigate the activities of a certain guardsman. Our investigation uncovered a plot to raid your warehouse, which unfortunately appears to have succeeded despite our warning to your guards and our best efforts. We would like to learn more about what was stolen and who you would suspect."

ooc: I suspected the same, but the lighthouse is located far away from here, and it's working again -you saw the light when you sailed to Gotian; the pirates in the previous adventure killed the family that attended it and sabotaged the light-

While, even before you were speaking, Koplov turns around to continue whith what he was doing, apparently uninterested in you. However, what you said catched his attention. Add that the surviving guard arrives and -loathly- confirms what you're saying: you were indeed there, fighting the attackers, and the ones dead are guards of Idrag's confidence. Koplov points at you and asks: "Who hired you? Nevermind, you wait here. No, you" tells the guard, "lead them to my house and make sure they stay there. I'll put the council upside down."

He looks at the warehouse the last time "Seems we´ve just lost the ivory and several sacks of utfir*. Nothing important." and leaves at full speed.

*Utfir is a rare herb coming from the far south. It's burned in social gatherings in a brazier; the smoke has a pleasant odor, and it induces relaxation and clarity of mind. However only the rich can afford it, and has no other uses, magical or otherwise, nor is it dangerously addictive. It's becoming popular in certain circles.

Draig looks round at Banion to see if he is coming with them, then follows the guard to Koplov's house. "Seems like an awful lot of trouble to steal ivory and some herb," he says to the guard en route, "Worth a lot, was it?"

Beamer is suspicious. It almost seems like a setup, what with one of the Council member's personal wizard openly leading an attack on another Council member. He'll have to examine Nairb for any spell effects.

He accompanies the guard to Koplov's house.

"Together they were the most valuable things in the whole warehose, I think" says the guard
"But really I don't know what to think."

Soon after you arrive at Koplov's mansion, an ostentatious building at the town's central square. For a while you wait in the kitchen, where a sleepy servant re-heats some food for you and have a chat with the party and the guard.

After a while it's clear that somethng else is going on: people start arriving and there's sound of activity as carriages arrive; there's a good gathering mounting.

Finally you´re summoned. A servant leads you to a small and warm library where fourteen people talk in various degrees of loudness. There's a general air of excitedness, decision, a little anger, and enthusiasm. There, Wuld and Ochen, the two merchant that contacted you back in Orussus are waiting for you.

"Things are a little confusing by now. For what I've made of it, seems that you found out of the attack on the warehouse and actually thwarted it much by yourselves. Am I right?"
