Thirst for power (Finished) (Knight Otu judging)

"There were rumors... about someone in the city involved with the pirates near one lighthouse north of here. I don't know much."

"Cargo? There are some valuable things there, I think. Wait, it's on fire! HELP! FIRE! EVERYONE HERE, BRING BUCKETS!!"

Draig thinks for a moment, and finally considers that he'll help with the bucket duty in a moment, when people has buckets. He gets the bodies of the guards still alive in the back of the cart to try and ensure that they can get them away for questioning once the fire is put out. Then he falls back to bucket duty.

ooc: Sorry for the telegraphic post, but I don't have much time.

IC: A lot of things happens, very quickly, leaving you confused. First, the bucket line forms, though the citicens are somewhat reluctant to work for free to help a member of the council. That attitude changes when Koplov, in person, wearing furs thrown over his pyjamas arrives and starts ordering people around: then the fire is quickly extinguished, doing only minor damage -though Koplov roars as if he himself was the one burned to cinders-

Second, the surviving guards and the wizard are loaded in the wagon. The most samaritan people present move in to find out who are them, and remove the masks on the guards. One of them turns to be one of the men you saw arriving with Idrag at the citadel's gates his morning: other dead guard isn't other than the half orc that intercepted Draig when he was inside, near the main tower's door. This awakens a lor of questions, mainly what they were doing here dressed as thieves, and how the real thieves managed to kill them -apparently, the though that they could be stealing from a council member is quite alien to them-

The guard you revived help clarifying the situation. Soon everyone is aware that the city guard was actually stealing from Koplov. And third that Nairb was with them. When informed, Koplov roars again and yells that he'll have Etan's head in a silver plate.

Draig looks for a moment to speak quietly with Koplov, or with the guard they revived if there isn't a chance to speak with Koplov himself. "Now obviously isn't the time, but is there somewhere quiet we could talk (with Koplov), perhaps in the morning? There are several questions that could do with answering..."

Draig also checks on the unconcious bodies of the guards, to ensure that they're ok and that they can get them out for questioning as well.

Banion tries to grab a quiet word with Beamer and Draig.

"Should we check out the lighthouse next? Seems like they might take the stolen goods there. I know you need a rest to restore your arcane powers, Beamer, but maybe I should scout the place out and you can meet me there once you're recovered. All we really need to wrap this job up is a little more information. If we're lucky, our target will be there personally to inspect his prize...."

If Beamer and Draig are agreeable to this, Banion will sneak out of town to the viscinity of the lighthouse. He'll find a place to hide as far away as possible while still being able to see people going in or out. Hopefully, he can find a spot at least 400 yards away.

"And who are you?" says the merchant, frowning. "I'm rather busy right now, trying to see what's I've lost."
