D&D (2024) What are the top 3 things, above all else, you want from One DnD?

In case you missed it.

If you have a Spell prepared that has the Ritual tag, you can cast that Spell as a Ritual.A special feature is no longer required for Ritual casting.

Might not be everything you wanted, but should be a decent chunk of it.

Though honestly, most non-healing spells could be rituals. Like, a 10 minute fireball isn't going to cause problems.
sure but not requiring a specific ritual casting ability doesn't increase the actual number of spells counted as rituals in the first place, they were asking to make more spells count as rituals rather than to make ritual casting more accesible, IIRC most classes that want ritual casting already have it although i could be mistaken.

1: Settings that have a decent level of detail to them. Eberron was good. Spelljammer stank to high heaven.
2: New feats.
3: New classes and subclasses.

Things I'd like to see (as in - things I'm not currently seeing in 5e):

1. Knob to adjust the balance the at-will, short-rest recovery, and long-rest recovery mechanics of classes to allow DMs to run as the like and as appropriate for the adventure at hand. Want to run 2-3 encounters a day? Good, here's mechanical support that keeps the rogue, warlock and the cleric balanced against each other. Want to go gritty rest variant and have weeks between long rests but have a short rest every night? Turn the knobs the other way.

2. All classes to have strong features for different pillars of play. And not "well, a fighter could take a non-combat feat". INCLUDING those features not turning into a "tax". In other words no "well rogues usually use their expertise in X, so set the DCs assume that so they don't auto-succeed".

3. Integrate RP-based mechanics fully into the system. Inspiration is a bolt-on that can be removed with little effect. Compare to White Wolf back 30 years ago in the 90s having how/why your Vampire acted as the mechanism for recovering Willpower, a vital consumable resource.

1. A VTT that is as helpful running TOM combats as Grid combats. (for example, automatically letting everyone know who is engaged with who based on having made a melee attack against someone)
2. A powerful and elegant monster creation system
3. A Dazed condition (1 action or bonus action, 1/2 speed, no reactions, no concentration) that is applied when at 0HP instead of unconscious.

You are being pedantic on my pedantism, sir :p

Tangent question: Did anyone read that as "thac-zero" in any time?
Just to throw in my 2 cents, I have never once pronounced it as thac-zero and I would also never consider using the incorrect spelling thaco, that's a 0 on the end there and anyone who spells it differently is clearly wrong :D
