Voted Frontier/Discovery, but could as easily have been Downslide.

In current campaigns I'm participating, there are a lot of apocalypse / post-apocalyptic settings. In one game, the city we're in suffered a terrible earthquake (probably caused by us), in another, the whole land was transformed when demons invaded it (there's a big cloud covering hundreds of square kilometers), in another, we caused the Plague (but things seem to be ok now) and lastly, in my game that hasn't started yet, the Sun God was captured / put in a "coma" by the collective efforts of the Goddess of Night and the God of Dreams.

TS.

I like the frontier type campaign. What can be put out in the unexplored is virtually unlimited and you can use every bad (and good) western movie out there as additional source material.

I tend to combined it with loss civilization and lands that time forgot type stuff also.

My player never know what to expect as they set out from their frontier towns. :D

Surprised !!!

I voted for Frontier/Discovery as that will be the theme of my next campaign and that is where I like adventuring most. However I am surprised at the poll's results so far as I would have thought that the Golden Age or Downslide would have come out on top of the votes. Cheers :)

me too, it seems to my lax eye that most campaign are pointed at the last 3...maybe some writer type will catch this (like my close personal friend monte) and do somehting ubercool about it :)

I voted Golden Age, but it's more of Golden Age that is slowly falling into a downslide. Think something along the lines of the rise of the Empire in Star Wars (eps I and II). Everything looks hunky-dory, and everyone is happy for now, but trouble is brewing in the background. The campaign would be to stop everyone from falling into this downslide, something like stopping the Emperor in ep III instead of him coming to power for eps 4-6.

The renaissance of a post-apoc world, one part of which is entering a golden age and the rest of which is an open frontier (ripe for discovery).

I'm going to pick "frontier/discovery", but many of the categories fit. Also, I dropped a rock on the world, so there's some post-apoc there too.

But if I could, I'd've picked "Renaissance".
