"Seems like a solid plan. Where is Elias, anyway? He must have been here for some time, unless he hit something." Justin grins. "That said, I didn't see any devastation on the way here, so I think we can assume he made it in one piece."

"Nice outfit." Elias approaches the others from across the street, making certain that he speaks quietly enough not to be overheard by any passers by. "I had a run in with the guard on the way here. Nothing serious, but I nearly broke my arm, and they cited me for 'careless walking and assault by falling' and wrote me a ticket. I'm supposed to be at the Circle of Law in two hours to pay some ridiculous fine." He snorts to show how likely he finds that eventuality.

Guiding the others off the street to a secluded corner where they can speak somewhat freely, he lowers his voice and continues, "I've got some good pictures, and had a look around. It appears that there's only one obvious way in, and only one guard outside. I haven't been able to see much of the inside; no telling how many other guards there may be in there. If you want," he says to Selprin, "you can see if your disguise there is enough to bluff your way past the door guard."

"Or, we can do it the other way," he adds nonchalantly.

I'm all for the front door approach. Justin can you tell if the doorway is enchanted? Bambi is standing in a dynamic pose as if she were the poster girl for "Woman's Enchantment magazine"

Justin shakes his head. "Sorry, no DMs prepared. I was just expecting another day in the office..." He stops, realising how stupid that sounds.

He scowls at the other spell casters in the party. "Couldn't one of you two get your arse in gear and learn how to cast it? I do have other things to do with my magic, you know."

Sel shrugs. "Don't look at me. I use my magic to repair jewelry, open doors and do tricks. But I don't think we should be wasting our time like this. What is life if not for the adventure, eh? Come on, there's no time like the present...after you." She gestures with her hand in the direction of the door.

Bambi looks around at her team and thinks about how all this ego will undoubtedly set oiff some sort of alarm. Well than, there is no time like the present. Justin if you will...My part is subservient to yours. She waits for Justin to lead the way.

As you're talking and arguing, Selprin sees over Jarval's shoulder another City Guard, this one likely a sergeant, with red stripes on his shoulder plates walks out the path to the front gate, says something briefly to the person at the door, who shrugs and shakes his head. The sergeant nods, salutes, (which is returned by the guard at the gate), and goes back inside the house. At the same time, Elias, you notice that just as that back corner of the yard, there is a small gap between the two apartment buildings which flank this building: you'd need to get over the 10-foot gate, but a person could definitely slip through the two buildings and into the back yard if they wanted.

"Hmm...a sergeant. That might make it difficult. He'd likely know the captains on the watch. Maybe I should demote myself. I'd have to bluff the sergeant though, and that'd be no easy task. I still think I could do it."

"Go with the demote." Justin thinks for a moment. "Say you were told to escort us here, to check that Mrs Carmichael is OK. If she's already been seen by a priest, then we can just play the bureaucratic confusion card. No-one's going to disbelieve that."
