I am a very impatient person. I hate waiting to get something once it's been released. This time I'm probably going to wait until the gift set of all three books is released.
Most of my players are young and have little to no income so they won't be buying the books anytime soon. One just isn't going to bother. His only 3E book is the PHB, and that was gotten for him as a gift.
The last one may or may not buy them right away, he's got tuition to pay off.

Because of all these thing I think it's safe to say that my group won't be converting for a little while so me getting them two months later is no biggie.
That doesn't mean I won't drool over them in the local bookstore this July though.

I said none, for three reasons:

1. Ninety Dollars extra can pick up a lot of other stuff at Gencon that I won't see around here.

That's my main reason for not picking them up ASAP. This is my first year at GenCon. I usually buy a lot of stuff at Origins, and I understand that the vendors' floor is a LOT bigger at GenCon. If I was unable to buy all the "omigod-that-is-so-cool-I-must-have-it-now" stuff that I want (nay, NEED) at GenCon because I had rushed out to buy the new core books a couple of weeks earlier, I'd be pretty vexed. That said, I'll probably get them a week or so after GenCon.
