[WoT Adventure] Turn 3

"I geuss your right Sirsei, I just feel really eager to know whats happening. Its not everyday that you see a trolloc outside of the border lands. I just am worried about home. For it to get so far. Maybe Lila Sedai can give me some information. Maybe we should just go right there."

Dad, what happened, are you ok? I wish I was there, I know I can help. you can't fail now, you cannot fail to gaurd it, it is our duty.

She follows Sirsei through the crowd with a worried expression creasing her pretty face, not paying attention. She bumps into quite a few people, and mutters an apology to each but out of habbit not for being sorry.

At the parade

<Sorry Tomas; you get stuck alone at the inn for a bit>
[from the book]
The route that will bring the false Dragon through the city has been public knowledge, oft-discussed, for days and there's a small square just inside the New Citye were you should enjoy a fine view. As you approach the square, you can see the dense crowd already pressing against the line of red-cloaked pikemen who keep the street itself clear. Although you have arrived in plenty of time, the scene is dense with onlookers. Some sit in windows or crowd balconies, but most swirl around you in the street, chattering in speculation as they jockey for the best positions along the parade route.
[/from the book]

The False Dragon wasn't there quite yet, though, and something else caught the attention of the two Accepted. In the shifting of the crowd, they saw Ashrem, Yuri, Jain, and Pedron. It didn't take too much effort to get together with them.

Jain Hadlin

There's the ladies, I hope they have calmed down. At least half thier problem went back to the inn.

"Shalimar! Sersei! What luck, I didn't expect to run into you even if you were here. What with the crowds."

Jain shuffles closer so he can talk quitely.

"We didn't find anything at the field, it was crawling with whitecloaks. They ran us off! Have you heard any news? Any thing from Lila Sedai?"

Jain looks around quickly. [OOC: spot check? any one following/watching us?] He then leans down and whispers in Shalimars ear.

"I'm very sorry about what I said earlier, it was wrong and way too harsh, you didn't desurve that! I will understand if we're no longer friends, but i do hope you will forgive me."

By the creator I hope she forgives me, i have too few friends in the world. The last thing i need is to loose one of the one i do have.

"White Cloaks?... that is odd. hmm? Off course I forgive you, your only a man you cannot be expected to act as if you were as wise as a woman is. But if you ever say anything like tat again, I will box your ears, then send you to the white tower in a novice dress. They wont put up with your foolishness there."

She laughs at the image of Jain wearing a white dress, and up to his elbows in suds. Is that the way to deal with a certain obstinate noble, I think it is. I have to speak to Lila Sedai about that.

"This crowd is awfully big Sirsei, I can't exactly see over anyone. Will I be able to see when they get here? These people are just too tall." She says feeling flustered.

OOC: when we see Logain, weavesight checks for any weaves being cast by the sisters

Jain Hadlin, Thoughts and reactions very differnt things.

Typical, she's right though, I could never have the lack of common sense most women seem to have. As for never speaking to her like that again. I was wrong to say those things the way I did, and were I did. Of course, leave it to a women to gloss over the fact that i was essentially right, she's been horribly arrogant and bossy. I guess some people will never understand that with cetain people honey gets you further than vinigar. Case in point, Heh.

Jain smiles, and looks genuinely relieved by Shalimar's reaction.

"Thank you, I'm glad to have your forgiveness."

and thats no lie. I can live with being upset with her bad behavior, but i can't deal with her being mad at me. I'll watch myself from here out. The next time I may loose her friendship.

[ooc: oh poop. :( I couldn't find a good 'in character' reason for Tomas to go with them. Maybe I can run into the beggar. :)]

Shadowing Jain, Ashrem moved easily through the crowd gathered to see the False Dragon. He put on his most determined look [intimidate] in hopes that people would be persuaded to get out of his way.

He scanned the road looking for signs of the coming precession. "Can you see anything Jain?" Just then he caught sight of the ladies and nodded to them replacing his scowl with a slight grin. “Ladies. I trust all is well? No sign of trouble I hope.”

Yuri Morotakai

Yuri, while quite interested in seeing the False Dragon, now has a greater concern: the two Accepted have found him, and he's afraid some more Whitecloaks will show up. He's doing his best to make sure none of them can sneak up on him or the girls--and probably looks odd, with his constant searching, to anyone who cares to notice. [Sense Motive to people who care what he's about?]

Pedron gets to work

Pedron grumbles a bit at the joyful reunion. That makes another two people he has to slip away from. Still, with this crowd, he ought to be able to manage it. Pedron begins to move further away from the others, until he's certain they can no longer see him.

The pickpockets will be out in full force, so Pedron keeps a sharp eye out lest one of his fellows tries to steal from him. Meanwhile, he scans the crowd for a likely mark. If he sees some careless merchant who wears his purse too openly, he'll move close and wait for the false Dragon to come into sight. Then, when all eyes turn to the spectacle, he'll relieve the merchant of his coin and move on. If he's spotted, he'll try to disappear into the crowd, moving as close to a normal pace as he can so as not to look suspicious. If he succeeds with his first mark, he may select another, once he's at least fifty paces away, but only if the procession is taking its sweet time. He has no intention of stealing from more than two people. No need to press his luck.

[OOC: What do you expect? Pedron's a thief, and he hasn't had a chance to steal anything in the last two days: he's getting antsy.]

Sirsei cranes her neck to see, "I can't see anythiong yet. Maybe it would b best if we tried to get towards the front, or maybe we can find a wall or someplace for you to sit, Shalimar."
