[WoT Adventure] Turn 3

[Shalimar Shiawase]

Shalimar mutters at that, "Bloody tall people, they should be more considerate."

Raising her voice so that Sirsei can hear her in the bustle of the crowd, "Thats a good idea, why didn't I think of that?" that was halfway between sarcasm and anger.

She sighs and tries to find a barrel, or something to stand on.

This is definately, positively, absolutely unfair. I should be taller, or at least everyone else should have the good grace to be smaller. 100% abominable behavior.

OOC: i totally can Identify and this is mostly my frustration on the subject here, its definitly not fun being short.

Jain Hadlin, Comedian( apparently bad comedian)

"I'd offer a spot on my shoulder, but i fear that would look a little too undignafied." Jain chuckles at the thought.

"On the other hand, if you don't agree......"

"Really, there is a big enough group of us that we can probably push through this flamin' crowd, and get you a better view."


[OOC: Jain continues to scan the crowd just in case.]

Ashrem looks at Jain and Shalimar and nods in agreement. "I'd like a better look as well." Putting on his most intimidating face he begins shouldering his way closer to the road.

He motions the others to follow.

[OOC: I'm hoping good Intimidate checks will get people to move.]

 

[Shalimar Shiawase]

She slaps Jain across the face. "Watch your mouth, or do I need to wash it out with soap? If you are to be fit as a companion you will mind your tongue, and be civil. Next time I will not give a light slap as a warning."

I pity which ever woman ends up with him. I will at least train him to be polite, its the least I can do for whoever is going to have to put up with him, Light knows I would want the same if were to end up marrying anyone.

Jain Hadlin, Stupified

"AWCH! would you bloody well stop doing that? Do you you have any flamin idea how bad that hurts?"

Jain starts rubbing the sting out of his face again.

"Blood and bloody ashes, Shalimar it was only a joke! You need to stop being so serious all the time, you used to have a sense of humor."

Jain steps back just in case.

"By the way if your're going to strike me every time i say some thing to you, can you at least keep switching sides? If I'm going to be black and blue at least then it will be all over and not just on one side."

Bloody woman is unbelievable. That's seals it, I'll thow myself in to a bloody trolloc cook pot before i get married to a flamin woman like her!

Sirsei looks positively shocked as Shalimar slaps Jain, yet again. She leans over and whispers to Shalimar, "You know, if you keep slapping him, he's either going to stop feeling it, or start slapping back. He was only making a joke. It wasn't even terribly offensive."

She frowns, "I hate to say this, but you need to learn to laugh at yourself a little. You can start making fun of me for being tall if it helps, but stop taking offense so easily. The slap earlier was appropriate... this one... well, wasn't."

Sirsei sighs and looks around, "Jain, I believe you're right. I think we can push to the front of the crowd, if you men will stand together and get people to make way."

 

[Shalimar Shiawase]

OOC: just to be clear, the reason she slapped him was because he cursed, not because off what Jain suggested. Bad idea to start cursing your head off when you get slapped for cursing

She tries to slap him, hard on the same cheek she sleeped him earlier. "I think I will have to wash out your mouth if you cannot keep it clean yourself. I would expect you to have a better tongue than this." she says with disapointment obvious in her speech and eyes.

I really should not be taking my discomfort out on him, but this is for his own good. If he had any manners he should thank me for watching out for him, and if he doesn't he will when I am done with him.

Ashrem - Ever the peacemaker

Ashrem stared at the others as if they had all lost their minds. Finally he cought Sersei's attention and pointed to the road where the presession would be passing. "I believe it's this way...." He gave a level look a Shalimar and nodded to Jain. "If you two are finished , you are welcome to join us."

Looking around he found Yuri and motioned for him. " Yuri, help me move some of these people out of the way. Have you seen Pedron?"

[OOC: In Masters of the Wild there is an optional rule that would make sense for Yuri. It says that, in some situations, you can use you Strength bonus for Intimidate if it is higher than your Charisma. Just thought I'd throw that out for Dave to consider.]

Jain Hadlin, light dawns on marble skull

"Oh, sorry, i misunderstood. After being born and raised on a battle field and spending most of your lfe surrounded by soldiers, I'm afriad it never occured to me such things would affend you.
Yes I know, typical of a boneheaded man not to realize such a thing, right?"

Jain steps forward and looks Shalimar in the eye, his face and tone are dead serious.

"Now, if you would like to hit me again before we go?"

"oh and by the way, Sersei, i promise you. Shalimar is the last person in the world that needs to worry about me striking them."

After thats cleared up Jain joins Ashrem and Yuri in moving through the crowd.
