Sneak attack w/ Blinding Barrage?

Well, that "errata" is largely unnecessary ...
4e is a sequential system, and nothing happens simultaneously, which is the main purpose of that clarification (and a bunch of others) ...
Once per round is just that .. once per round.
Although, it does make it clearer for those with the opportunity (via OAs or warlord powers, or whatever) to deal sneak attack damage outside their own turn.

Plus it's a decent minion-clearer, which can sometimes be important even in a Daily, plus as a blast it ignores the attack penalties for concealment (but not total concealment, since you can only attack what you can see).

To key off the blast issue as well.... swarms... oh dear god I hate them on my rogue, I'll burn my daily in a heartbeat if we are facing a powerful one even vs the single target.

AGLA1-1 LFR spoilerish alert for the below
We were fighting some ant swarm that teleported and had a freaking action point, it was the most PITA fight since we didn't have many blasts or attacks that would do full damage handy and I had used blinding barrage earlier.

Plus the other two rogue dailies are really quite lack-lustre.

I will agree that Blinding Barrage is a great Rogue daily. I've used it in each of the Living Forgotten Realms games I've played in to great effect. Rogues are normally great against solo type opponents, but this gives you a minion clearing attack that can also set up sneak attack on your next turn for non minion foes. In one combat where the opponents started out tightly organized, it pretty much ended the entire combat before it even started. So good stuff all around :)

Assuming you have combat advantage against all the opponents, blinding barrage also allows multiple opportunities to crit and deal maximum sneak attack damage against one unfortunate target.

The implied rule here, to be clear for a new Rogue player, is that you decide to add your sneak attack damage *after* you find out if you hit or not.

Example: if you attack three targets with a Blinding Barrage, and the results are:
  • Target One: Hit
  • Target Two: Miss
  • Target Three: Critical Hit

You could choose to apply your sneak attack to target one and roll it, or you could choose to apply your sneak attack to target three and have it maximized as part of the critical. The key thing is that you don't decide this until after you find out if you hit or miss with every attack. (Note, this also applies to Ranger quarry and Warlock Curse damage.)

A basic tactic with rogues: Hit target(s) with an attack that grants you combat advantage until the end of your next turn. Spend action point so you can Sneak Attack (if you hit) this turn, and then again next turn.

That's the whole point of that line - it's simply there to clear up the timing issue of exactly when your Sneak Attack 'resets' and becomes available again.

may fav LFR i have thus far GMed and played. BUT W/O an area ttacker this encounter is indeed as u quote

Yep, I bet this point is often forgotten.

I know a guy who plays a Rogue, and every time he hits, he explicitly says "I choose to do my sneak damage".

I know another guy who plays a ranger, and always declares before rolling his Twin Strike that "the green d20 is my quarry attack", even after being told dozens of times that he can just stick the quarry on whichever one hits...
