You guys do know Gnome is up there right?
Actually, I think 4E (and the 4E cartoons in particular) did a lot to boost the popularity of gnomes.

In any case, the important question is not whether you know where the gnome is, but whether the gnome knows where you are.

Watch out. He's a monster. And a barbarian. ;)

Bullywugs are already hated by nature itself. Why the hatred on this board? Let them live I say. It's clear to me that half-elves need to go, just because they don't know if they want to be gay or straight. Also Dragonborn: They are a race only because Mike Mearl's kids wanted to play a dragon. Devas are best suited as heinous angel figurines on your aunt's kitchen window sill. Who plays those?
The race that will stand until the end is the dwarf. Just because of his racial ability "Stand your ground".

i feel similar feelings towards the dragonborn as well :/

Given how easy it is to reskin the races... it is plumb silly to dis a race for fluff reasons... but I do it tioo.. What a giant toad man with a race name that sounds like mispronounced pollywog... yuckkkk.

The non cartoon artwork and connection to stealth invisibility and illusion makes him feel like "The little people" .. the legendary english/irish fey of legend... and yeah it rescued him in my eyes. He used to seem like a dwarf hobbit... not particularly interesting to me.

true enough but i typically end up on the dm side of things. as a dm i find it very hard to make eaither dragon born or shifters as interesting as say the eladrin ,dwarves and im particularly fond of halflings as far as story telling goes. if you have any cool ideas to spice up the dragonborn or shifers into a more culturally interesting race i would love to hear it.

Damn - you're probably right. I forgot about those - funny as they were.

I really hope I don't have to see Gnome as a choice for too long though.

like i cant decide on what dragonborn architecture or art would be like that kind of thing what are products a dragonborn empire might trade with their allies. i guess its just a symptom of being a newer race though.

MM Races: There are a lot of PC monster races out there. I took all the ones in the CB. While I understand, thing is that there are a lot of Players who like the Shadar-Kai and Bugbears (who I think get oversized weapon use as a racial ability).

That oversized weapon rule is exactly why I voted Bugbears.
