    I don't quite understand milestones

Based on the language in the DMG quoted by neobolts above: that wouldn't be right -- a short rest would NOT reset the counter. An EXTENDED rest would reset the counter, eliminate any unused action points and grant you one new action point. Thus, you start the day with one action point...

Can you do a "diamond" shaped blast?

It occurs to me that you could truncate your diamond blast at the third row. This would: 1) preserve the 9-square area; 2) hit the areas you want; 3) simulate the cone shape people have been missing from breath weapons. In fact, you could easily house rule that characters could choose to shape...

    Stealth in Combat

It's an immediate interrupt -- can't use it on his turn.

Dynamic Excel "Wiesbaden Charactersheet" D&D (v1.11)

Very nice! I think I like your layout for the "Favorite Attacks" better than WotC's -- I want my Attack bonus and damage together on one line! Didn't see this minor glitch mentioned: my tiefling apparently has a Fire Resistance of 5.5! Looks like the cell doesn't truncate the decimal.

    Mobile Ranged Attack (KotS Spoilers!)

The way it is written, the creature can use it to move into difficult terrain; If it said "shift", it couldn't. I agree with your interpretation: the ranged attack doesn't provoke, but the movement might.

    Gelatinous Cube vs. Swap Places

If we interpret "tripping" as unbalancing or causing your opponent to over reach, I can see an ooze being tripped. The prone condition just seems like it could cover unbalanced or any awkward position where you fight at a severe disadvantage. Similarly, I can picture "trade places" as the...

    Gelatinous Cube vs. Swap Places

I've been wondering what a prone cube would look like.

Has Point Buy become standard? What Points?

That would make sense: then the 16 14 13 12 11 10 array actually costs the standard 22 points.

Should I cancel amazon pre order and order from buy.com?

Dude! You shaved! Seriously: My FLGS owner was very pleased to hear that you are actively pursuing actions against those responsible. As a someone who works for a regulatory agency, I know that it's no fun enforcing what should be a no-brainer. Just remember: as much as you'd enjoy using...

Beefing up KotS's Story: 1st encounter (SPOILERS)

Very nice! But, I think my group is suspicious enough that the sudden appearance of helpful NPC might be too obvious. I think they need two NPC's to really sell it -- perhaps Delphinia on her way back from collecting flowers. Hmmm, she happens on the scene as Ninaren drops the last kobold...

    Dragonshield Tactics

I think the question really boils down to: does a shift trigger it. I interpret that it doesn't -- "move" is a defined term that is separate from "shift". "Charge" is a defined term that incorporates a "move" and an "attack", so it would trigger Dragonshield Tactics.
