D&D General Graz'zt Petition

I am talking about the "5e style", because from "Rage of Demons" I can see that in manuals or illustrations, Graz'zt started to appear with white eyes, purple skin, a goatee and terribly marked cheekbones, as if he were starving.
That is not the "5e Style" though. That is one artist's depiction. One that happen to find better looking than most of the 1e, 3e, and 4e art you posted. The only one that comes close to me is WAR one with Iggy. As Tasha's shows, the next artist could depict 5e differently. It is not a 5e thing, it is an artist thing. It is not like all 3e art was the same either.

As are you, but if you want me to sign your petition you need to convince me you have a valid argument. I've read your petition and you have not convinced me. You can try harder if you want, or just accept that you will not get my signature with your current argument.

PS I'm a big Graz'zt fan as well. One of my favorite demon lords (after Demogorgon of course).

I have been trying to get my kids to question things and look at what is being compared. The first question should be; compared to what? You stated that this is a 5e vs older editions sexy standpoint. The next question is; Who is judging? The whole "beauty in the eye of the beholder" thing.

PS I believe this one is from 3e @Graz'zt's Lawyer , not the best representation, IMO. I think it is less a 5e thing and more of a particular artist thing.

This looks like the work of Jeremy Jarvis, yes? One of the most underrated fantasy artists, IMO.

I still don't know why the art directors won't put a shirt on him. Sheesh. He'd look awesome in a duster or long coat.

I really dig the alternate cover art for Tasha's.

I still haven't pulled the trigger yet, but I think it's going to be the first of the premium alt covers that I buy.
