I love the special thanks.

This project was made possible by Roll20. Thank you for unlocking new horizons for the latest generation of planewalkers, bashers, berks, and touts. We’d also like to thank the giants on whose shoulders we stand when writing this book: Justice Ramin Arman, Richard Baker, Wolfgang Baur, David “Zeb” Cook, Bruce R. Cordell, Jeff Grubb, David Noonan, F. Wesley Schneider, Rick Swan, and all others who helped create and cultivate Planescape and the planes.

I've just bought it and am reading it now.

Here is the table of contents.

I too bemoan the lack of art, I would have loved to be able to stuff a book full to the gills with it, but sadly it's a tall order financially - especially with the amount of content we have in there. Worthwhile feedback though.
If this is widely successful would you look to add art? The person who did the Monster Manual Expanded series went back and replaced most of the art in his books with custom art after they became successful.

OK, I just looked through the book and the art for Sigil is still pretty punk-themed and not be-jeweled or whatever IMO. Almost all of the photos have a smog like haze and many are straight up dark. Now there is a map that is brightly colored and a place called the Elloweth Theater that is brighter, but not close to jewel tones. So I guess, I don't know what your seeing. It is not sepia, but it is not happy bright colors either.
Look at the outer edges of the pages. the page backgrounds, and the mimir text boxes. Notably the upper edge is different between Sigil and the Outlands.

That decision would have to be taken by the team. For my part, I would love to, but I don't know what kind of resources would need to be allocated to that. I can think of a number of things I'd love to see illustrated, including many of the monsters, many of the planes themselves, and some of the fantastic NPCs and notable major players - words can't do justice to some of these concepts, though we certainly tried!

Yes, the Outlands are more brightly colored than Sigil (though still not brightly colored IMO), as one would expect. What is the issue with this or what is your point?
