A little meta discussion:

1) The groups all being in one thread is working for me. It's a bit chaotic, but it keeps everything in one place, which I think saves me some time. I'm open to contrary opinions if anyone doesn't like it.

2) I'm trying to give all the groups as close as I can to equal attention. If you feel like your group is getting shafted (even a little), a good way to get me to add more to your group's story is to post - even if it's just an observation of your character or whatever - it usually works as a "hint" that I don't tend to miss.

3) I can't believe that all of the groups have gone as far as they have without any combats (yet). It's an interesting approach! (One that probably won't last...)

Oh! One more:

4) I started this game keeping track of time, which I've never done before to quite the same extent. I discovered one problem when it comes to this particular game when it comes to time: If you run into each other, you might be at different time-stamps. I think that I will keep tracking time, so we get spell durations right, but we'll play fast-and-loose with crossovers. Maybe something timey-wimey is going on under the mountain - there's enough other weird stuff.

Hey gyus,

Question, has combat movement changes in 2024? I haven't played too many melee combatants, and am having a hard time finding the rules. I assumed IC that 5ft when within reach is fine. Can there be more movement within reach?
Thanks and cheers,

SG

If I'm understanding your question, then yes --
"You can make an Opportunity Attack when a creature that you can see leaves your reach." (p. 26).

So you can move as much as you like, as long as you stay within reach of the enemy (literally running circles around it, if you wish). However doing so may put you into/out of reach of someone else, which could provoke an attack.
