GM: Themes have been approved (except the Dark Sun ones, which are banned). If everybody wants one, I'm happy for you all to add them. I just don't want anyone left out

OOC: Been a little busy at work recently. I'll try to get Castile leveled up tomorrow. And I'll add a theme, if that's okay with you Mewness?

OOC: Cool! I know we are in a full on campaign so I guess there isn't the same pressure to have characters keep up with approvals quite as much because you [MENTION=14889]Mewness[/MENTION] know the PCs and can keep track of us more easily than a DM that invites new players into a short adventure, but Kane hasn't been approved for lvl 2 yet. I imagine that requires a judge to give that approval and that I can't level up when Kane eventually reaches lvl 3 until lvl 2 has been approved, right? Question: If Dark Sun themes are banned, are Neverwinter Campaign themes also banned? It would make sense that this was the case. In any case I think I will wait until the material from Heroes of the Feywild comes out and becomes official content for L4W, because I'd like Kane's theme to be a Fey Beast Tamer (as seen in the preview shown on WotC website). That might give you enough time to build that into the adventure Mewness ;P I'd like a young Owlbear please!

OOC: I am all for themes, even if I don't have access to the CB. I've been thinking on the animal master one, reflavoring a hawk as a baby quetzalcoatlus, once I've had chance to get one with Sasha.

GM: About approvals: once characters are officially approved for level 1, they don't need to be resubmitted until the adventure ends and they have a new DM. You're all staying with the same DM, so you don't need formal approvals when you go up levels. (The characters still need to be reviewed by someone, but I can do that.) If you want a theme, go ahead and add it. I would prefer that you not use the associated abilities until everyone in the group has a theme, though. About Neverwinter: As far as I know, these themes are permitted.

OOC: Are we waiting for level ups to be finalised before continuing? We seem to have gone into a bit of a lull. [MENTION=14889]Mewness[/MENTION]: What are your personal opinions about me taking the Fey Beastmaster theme? Could you work my mastering of a young owlbear into the adventure? Any chance of Kane doing somekind of skill challenge running parallel to the adventure and maybe even catch up xp with the rest of the group? Thoughts? So are we going after the captain again? What do we reckon the chances are of finding traces of them/tracks etc at this stage? Shall we just head down the other direction of the path and hope we get lucky? Or shall we go treasure hunting? ;P

OOC: I'd like to go back to our shelter with Pezock and make sure that all of our buddies are alright. We still gotta look for the Captain, but I'd like to, at some point, get that baby quetzacoatl (sp?) side-quest for Sasha, and check out that shipwreck we walked past on the east coast!

Day 4

It is getting on towards the middle of the day as the group prepares to set off again.

GM: Waiting for level-ups and for the group to decide what it wants to do. Ieana and Kovack most likely continued south, toward where the cannibals' camp is supposed to be. If you want to go back to your main camp, that can happen without incident. Game time is about 11 am. Edit: we can of course get moving again before everyone is leveled up, since I won't be throwing a combat at you immediately, no matter what you decide to do. Fey beastmaster theme: I wasn't able to download the preview for some reason, but there shouldn't be a problem working pet for Kane.

Takahaan nods, pleased with his friend's response. "Speaking of allies, we should head back to the campsite. Our friends might not have received the captain's message pigeon, and are most likely worried sick."

The dragonborn turns to Pezock, his new ally. "My friend, you have proven yourself to be a brave fighter amongst the most troubling of enemies. Shall you accompany us? Having you tramp through these sour jungles would make many of us feel much safer. You've been here longer than any of us and are much more wise in the ways of life upon this dreadful Shiv. Besides, our friends back at our shelter would be glad to meet another shipwreck survivor. What do you say?"

Kane skims pebbles across the water at the edge of the sand awaiting his companions to emerge from the giant crab shell.

OOC: Kane is set to follow his companions whereever they deam best. He's not much of a decision maker/leader with a charisma of 8. He would jump at the chance of any treasure hunting around shipwrecks though! Arr har harr matey! So the shipwreck we left behind is a good option close to camp. His master (me) wouldn't mind doing a few minor quests. Taking Pezock back to the camp is an option. It's also quite handy to have him in the crab as well, as it gives us a second 'campsite' further south. But definitely up for helping Noriaki gain a pet if that is the theme [MENTION=6676736]Pentius[/MENTION] wants for him. If we go south behind the captain we are going to be wandering blindly at this stage hoping to find some kind of tracks by getting lucky. If they headed towards the cannibals ... it may be a good option to go after them ... in case they are being smoked and seasoned somewhere Argh! So many options! So hard to choose!
