[Adventure] Squash Those Bugs! (DM: Dekana, Judge: ?)

First Post
Labraundos issues a rumbling bellow, summoning the nearest large centipede that is currently attacking Lenyara to battle. He charges forward, swinging his axe in sweeping downward arc, but the insect seems to be just a little too agile for him.

[sblock=actions]Minor Action: Labraundos issues a Divine Challenge to Centipede Scuttler 1.

Divine Challenge (At-Will Minor Close Burst 5 ✦ Divine, Radiant)
Target: One creature in burst
Effect: You mark the target. The target remains marked until you use this power against another target or if you fail to engage the target (meaning either you attack the target or end your turn adjacent to the target; if none of these events occur by the end of your current turn, the marked condition ends and you can’t use Divine Challenge on your next turn). A creature can be subject to only one mark at a time. A new mark supersedes a mark that was already in place. While a target is marked, it takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls for any attack that doesn’t include you as a target. Also, the target takes 3 radiant damage the first time each round that it makes an attack that doesn't include you as a target before the start of your next turn.
Special: Even though this ability is called a challenge, it doesn’t rely on the intelligence or language ability of the target. It is a magical compulsion that affects the creature’s behaviour, regardless of the creature’s nature. You can’t place a Divine Challenge on a creature that is already affected by you or another character’s Divine Challenge.

Standard Action: Charges the Centipede Scuttler 1 (Moves to P7 as part of charge), using Ardent Strike - Total to Hit, including +1 to hit for charging = 17, which is currently a miss by one. Potential Damage = 14.

Ardent Strike (At-Will Standard Melee Weapon ✦ Divine, Weapon)
Attack: +6 vs. AC (Greataxe)
Hit: 1d12+4 damage and the target is subject to your Divine Sanction until the end of your next turn.
Special: When charging, you can use this power in the place of a Melee Basic Attack.

Divine Sanction would kicked in if he'd have hit, but the Divine Challenge is there anyway.[/sblock]

EDIT: I can't edit the Google Doc for some reason, so the Swarm is still next to Lenyara :S[/OOC]

OOC: I've moved it for you, treex.

If anyone uses any Power that allows Labraundos to have a free chop at something, then please feel free to run his basic attack yourself.

OOC: In general, swarms are immune to forced movement- I am not sure if that invalidates the free MBA or not. Also, on the swarms aura, it says 3 damage +2 per additional swarm adjacent. In Lenyara's case, with 2 swarms adjacent, would that be 3 (aura A)+3 (aura B) +2, or 3+2 (uara A) +3+2 (aura B)? (8 damage or 10 damage?)

OOC: Use if the free MBA from Emsy's Staggering note does apply, otherwise ignore

Lenyara whipped her tangled leather lash in her right hand around in a broad arc, sweeping through the mass of centipedes at her feet. It didn't seem to make a large difference...

OOC: MBA with Net, 1d20+11= 23, hit for 10, halved to 5 damage and swarm is slowed until end of Lenyara's next turn

OOC: Regular turn

With the mass of writhing bugs on the floor in front of her, Lenyara danced quickly backwards, flowing with feline grace. She stepped quickly around the minotaur's massive form, then lunged forward at the centipede dangling from the ceiling. A quick lash tangled the creature's fist few sets of legs, and Lenyara poked her long knife in between its mandibles- not stabbing deeply, but using the point as a lever to drag the creature from its perch.

[sblock=OOC]
>Start of turn: aura damage (3+2+2= 7); HP 34/41
>Move: Shift to P6
>Standard: Charge to P8 (no opportunity attacks with badge of the berserker); Net MBA at scuttler 2, 1d20+13 (includes charge and dancing serpent)= 26, hit for 11 and scuttler is slowed until end of Lenyara's next turn. Rolls= http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3989088/
>Free: Dual weapon attack at scuttler 2, 1d20+13= 24, hit for 11 more damage and scuttler 2 is knocked prone (down off the ceiling?); rolls= http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/3989090/

GM: Swarms are immune to forced movement from melee and ranged powers, so swarm 1 stays put. I'll allow the MBA though.
With 3 swarms adjacent, Lenyara will take 3+2+2=7 damage at the start of her turn, not (3+2+2)x3=21, which would be a little ridiculous, hehe.

EDIT: Scuttler 2 does get thrown down to the floor when knocked prone, but it's not high enough up to take falling damage (it looks like that kicks in starting at 20 ft falls).
I take that back, scuttler 2 does take 1d10=7 falling damage. Interesting that the PHB gives more information on the subject than the DMG...

OOC: Got it, will edit swarm damage into my post above. Since the swarm didn't move, did that also negate the free MBA associated with the push?

OOC: Please do comment if I have made any mistakes. It's a long time since I played pnp D&D
GM: That charge movement doesn't quite work out, but it's all good since you could just as well have used your first shift to go to P8. You wouldn't get the +1 charge bonus, but you easily hit anyway.
Combat advantage is coming from prone in this case. The scuttler has at least one creature (Nicodemus) adjacent to him besides Ashurn, so cunning stalker does not kick in.

GM: Actually, Ashurn started in S7, right? He couldn't reach P8 with the shift 2. Hmm.
We could say Ashurn used a move action to walk to P8 for the attack, but then he couldn't shift back to R7 at the end of his turn. Would that be good?
