Eva looks aghast at the sight of the dying guards and the giant dog.

"OH - MY - GAAWD! We waited so long that some sort of... demon dog attacked the guards before we could! That is SO RUDE! BAD DOG!"

Shouting in frustration, Eva raises her staff and conjures a blast of searingly bright light. The dog (and one of the dying guards) howl in pain, and the dog stumbles about off-balance.

OOC: Doggie is dazed until the end of Eva's next turn. Combat advantage for everyone!

As the hound finishes off the guard, it turns its massive head towards the party just as Eva shows her true power, spraying the beast and the guard behind it with arcane magic. The hound howls in pain and the guard collapses to the ground exhaling his last breath. The hound shakes his head, clearly dazed from the attack. Letting its guard down Graven hits it with a minor wound as well. The hound returns by belching a massive blast of corrosive spray hitting everyone, with Graven feeling the worst of it. Acid eats from clothing, armor and flesh causing a sickening stench in the air. The color spray has an adverse effect as well on the party. Acid mist emits from the wounds of the hound. Soon those adjacent to the beast will take damage. OOC: I wanted to give everyone a round before the acid aura takes place.

GM: According to my records Ignus had 22/28 prior to this round and Merri had 22/34 hp. I am going to assume that the party took a short rest to max up (i'll deduct a surge to do that)
