Animé d20 OoC

Alright, this is a game set to the Big Eyes Small Mouth d20 system. I am recruiting 1st level characters of generally any variety. Think up a character and post it here (40 points, any race (including homemade), and no flight allowed). Recruitment ends whenever I feel like it, and will include any characters I feel appropriate.

Just as some added help: this will be a dimensional ranger game, so I suggest not having anything to do with your home plane, as there is a chance you may never see it again. At the same time, this means virtually any backstory is acceptable, and know that anyone who tried to abuse defects using this will have it come back to haunt them... oh, will it ever...

Anyone who does end up playing: I hope to post (at least) once a day, but understand that this may be unreasonable for some. Try to get it somewhere around there, though, as I hope this will be a reasonably fast moving game.

So, to any who have not been freaked out by my expectations, probable spelling and gramatical errors, and the way I come on in general, good luck!

I'm in, and I'll be playing the extraordinarily violent Magical Girl/Gun Bunny I talked about earlier. I'll post the character later. And yes, I still have the same idea for her Servant.

I might be interested, but I don't own the BESM d20 book. Does the Animé SRD cover all necessary information? (Of course, I know all the d20 basics from D&D, Modern, Etherscope, etc.)

If that isn't a problem, I would be interested in playing a magical girl, ninja, or samurai.

Glad to have you Imerak. This should be interesting...

Yes Goblin, the SRD does cover any information you might need. In fact, that's the resource I use more often than the book when online.

Shayuri: This is a d20 campaign unfortunately, but if you go to
w ww.guardiansorder.com/downloads/ (note this is not a link, so I shall not be busted for linking outside of EnWorld)
you can download all the source material you need.

Indeed, I downloaded the SRD a few weeks before I bought the book, and I have to say I'm not really sure if I needed the book all that much.

I'm interested in taking part as well. I'll see if I can whip something up... I'm going to let my imagination run wild.

Blessed be the SRD!

*bows down before it*

I do have some questions based on what I'm reading. You mentioned in your initial post that you were allotting 40 character points. Unless I'm missing something, or unless the SRD here isn't the same rules as you're using, buying a full set of straight 10 attributes would cost 30 points. Leaving 10 points for everything else.

Is this correct?

**Edit - Ahhh, I think I posted too soon. I think I get it now...

My first thought: a hapless co-op student from Earth working with the dimensional ranger people. Kind of a weakling but somehow manages to survive the punishment dished out through a combination of luck and, well, luck. His name is Kei, much like Kei from Love Hina and Kei from Please Teacher. :)

(Student class, Sixth Sense goes off when near dimensional portals, Damn Healthy and Divine Relationship attributes, Girl Magnet Defect.)

Thoughts?

Cultivating several ideas so far...

One's an alien humanoid Mecha Pilot and her fabulous psychic power armor...

Another's a poor college kid who stumbled onto a sentient spellbook of great power that latched onto her and won't let go...

And there's a sort of hybrid Gun Bunny/Tech Genius idea bubbling around that needs more fleshing too.

Hee. I love games like this. :)

Excellent! I'll try to post my character later today. I'm working on a female human ninja with the blind fury defect, probably named Taka. She comes from a society in which gladiatorial combat is common, which will play largely into her background.

Very much looking forward to this game!

edit - Okay, I've started statting up the character. Obviously, I still have skills, feats, and equipment to determine, along with some other minor details, but this is the direction that I'm planning on going with my character. I did have a brief backstory typed up, but somehow lost it. Essentially, Taka was raised from a young age to participate in arena battles. Her talent in the area of killing earned her a lot of attention, and she was eventually purchased by a wealthy patron as a personal assassin. Her skills only grew more in this line of work, but she ultimately ran away to seek what was missing in her life: humanity.
