Assault on Dragonspear (5e PBP) OOC (Full)

This post might be helpful to let you know what has gone on recently:

SInce that post, we found Bazka the Spirit-Wraith (who briefly possessed Lionel). Possessing Lionel, he tried to escape with a magic rod that would open a portal. We know where the portal would be opened but we rescued Lionel and destroyed the rod. Bazka is the wraith of a Pit Fiend so he lacks much of his power. He escaped after we rescued Lionel.

Thanks that helps some. I was going to try to read the original IC thread but it is over 3000 posts so it's going to take me awhile.

Here is the treasure we found during the last adventure. I'm not sure what he might have from the game before I joined:

So:
[Tommi]Potion of Greater Healing 2d4+4
[Tommi]Potion of Diminution
[Lionel]Magical Dagger +1
[Morgan]Shaving kit
[Morgaon]Spell book (trapped)
OOC:Theggar's Spellbook:
Level 1: cause fear, charm person, false life, mage armor, magic missile.
Level 2: hold person, invisibility, locate object, ray of enfeeblement.
Level 3: animate dead, phantom steed, speak with dead.
Level 4: arcane eye, charm monster.
[Morgan]Encoded Journal of a Red Wizard
[Morgan]Black Pearl Ring worth 250gp
[?] a wig
[Morgan]greatcoat
[whole party]2500gp (277gp 7sp 7cp each)
[?]Rich Merchant's clothes

As a soul-knife, you probably don't need the dagger. Maybe you want to sell it or trade it for something else.
@FitzTheRuke
I found the spellbook. I'm going to spend my money on copying Arcane Eye and Speak with Dead and Locate Object. I'd taken Arcane Eye as one of my 4 free spells so I am going to choose a different free spell, if that's ok.

So I am working on updating Lionel as a 2024 Soulknife. Did he have any magic items? How are we doing equipment?
Lionel has a magic cloak that no player has ever used:

Wolf Skin Cloak. Bonus Action. You put your hood up to transform into a Wolf for 30 minutes, until you use a bonus action to put your hood down, or until you are Incapacitated or die. Your statistics are replaced by the statistics of a wolf (see below), but you retain your personality & ability to speak, your HP, HD, INT, WIS & CHA scores, Class Features, Feats, Skills, & Save proficiencies. You can’t cast spells, but transforming doesn’t break your Concentration. Your equipment merges with your new form. You can handle objects only if it makes sense. You regain 1 use when you finish a SR. (2/LR) OO

Wolf. Medium Beast.
AC:13+your WisMod
THP: 3x your Level
STR:14(+2) DEX:15(+2) CON:12(+1)
PP:15 (w/60ft Darkvision)
Speed: 50ft
Actions:
Bite. 5ft Melee Attack: 1d20+5 (You have Advantage if an Ally is within 5ft of the target).
Hit: 1d6+2 piercing & you knock them Prone.

It may not technically be a "finesse" weapon, but I would override that requirement and allow Lionel to Sneak Attack as a wolf - it just seems appropriate (and you'd never want to use it otherwise, except maybe to dash about).

If you do, take some notes on names, treasure, and other important plot things and share it with us! I sometimes wonder if I leave dangling plot threads or contradict myself. I can already see that I spelled Baazka's name a few different ways.

I think that I'm going to take inspiration from the original Scourge of Daggerford beginning and introduce you one at a time, along with several NPCs. if you have ideas as to what you've been doing for the past six weeks or so, feel free to post them here soon, or riff off of whatever I post for you (and include your own ideas) in your own first post. I'm happy either way. I'll try to get started this weekend, (which is Sun/Mon for me) but if I don't mention you in the first few posts, you can either wait for me to introduce you, or throw in an introduction of your own, and I'll add to that in a follow-up post.

Any questions?
