Celestial Lords - alternate BoVD feats

BOZ

Creature Cataloguer
OK, now would be a good time to work on “Celestial feats”, the opposite number to the Vile feats in the Book of Vile Darkness. (we will have a separate thread for new prestige classes – one PrC per Lord, please!) :)

Some feats in the BoVD stay basically the same (maybe one word reversed or something). Some need a new name and some cosmetic changes, but some will probably have to be scrapped – and could possibly replaced by a suitable good-themed feat.

These feats would only require a name change and some minor alterations to be useable for the celestial lords:
Corrupt Spell
Corrupt Spell-Like Ability
Dark Speech
Disciple of Darkness / Thrall to Demon
Malign Spell Focus
Vile Ki Strike (do we even need it though?)
Vile Martial Strike
Vile Natural Attack
Violate Spell
Violate Spell-Like Ability

These feats are not easily transformed into good things, and may not be useable at all:
Deformities (all)
Evil Brand
Lichloved
Sacrificial Mastery
Verminfriend
Willing Deformity

Well, need to check the book once I get homes, but for names...

Corrupt Spell - Purify Spell
Corrupt Spell-Like Ability - Purify Spell-Like Ability
Dark Speech - High Speech
Disciple of Darkness / Thrall to Demon - Chosen of Light
Malign Spell Focus - Virtuous Spell Focus
Vile Ki Strike (do we even need it though?) - Noble Ki Strike
Vile Martial Strike - Noble Martial Strike
Vile Natural Attack - Noble Natural Attack
Violate Spell - Enlighten Spell
Violate Spell-Like Ability - Enlighten Spell-Like Ability

Just off the top of my head...

Corrupt Spell - Holy Spell
Corrupt Spell-Like Ability - Holy Spell-Like Ability
Dark Speech - (The Serge suggested Celestial Choir)
Disciple of Darkness / Thrall to Demon - Faithful to Celestial
Malign Spell Focus - Virtuous Spell Focus
Vile Ki Strike/Martial Strike/Natural Attack - Exalted Ki Strike/Martial Strike/Natural Attack, if we use it.
Violate Spell - Exalted Spell
Violate Spell-Like Ability - Exalted Spell-Like Ability

Deformities (all)/Willing Deformity - I think the Serge proposed halos.

hmm...

Corrupt Spell - Divine Spell
Corrupt Spell-Like Ability - Divine Spell-Like Ability.
Dark Speech - (skip it as it is not needed)
Disciple of Darkness / Thrall to Demon - Servant of (enter power here)
Malign Spell Focus - Divine Spell Focus
Vile Ki Strike (do we even need it though?) - Blessed Ki Strike
Vile Martial Strike - Blessed Martial Strike
Vile Natural Attack - Blessed Natural Attack
Violate Spell - Sanctify Spell
Violate Spell-Like Ability - Sanctify Spell-Like Ability

As for the others, check this out

Deformities (all) - Transcending Feats
Evil Brand - Aura of holyness
Lichloved - (skip it)
Sacrificial Mastery - (skip it)
Verminfriend - (skip it)
Willing Deformity - Transcending Feats

Notes:

Transcending feats, are simply feats that make the lucky recipiant a little more like a celestial, giving everything from disease resistance to minor spell-like abilities. Each transcending feat also comes with a minor physical change as the character grows closer to his/her lord. :D

Later,

i like
Corrupt = Purify
Disciple/Thrall = Faithful
Malign = Virtuous
Vile Strike = Noble or Blessed (would only affect evil opponents?)
Violate = Sanctify

Dark Speech - i'm not sure i like either idea, but i'd go with High Speech if no one else has a better idea. ;)

Edit: krish was posting at the same time as me, so i changed some of mine. :) also, "Divine" is a generic term in 3E meaning "godly", and not based on one alignment or another. correct me if i'm wrong.

Well, one of the premises of the lich-loved feat included having sexual relations with a lich (Eewww!)

Boz: You are correct. Besides Purify and Virtous is better descriptions anyway :p
