Well, that was a lot more serious and emotionally compelling than I thought it would be, some nice and a satisfying send off of Fox.
Even Cassandra Nova being gorgeous instead of comic book accurate worked out

I thought it was hilarious despite being corporate marketing “doesn’t Disney suck, look we can laugh at ourselves” sometimes. The bromance is definitely enough to carry the movie and Reynolds is nothing if not funny AF. But I really wish it was something else besides the coda for the 20th Century Fox era, I wish it were the end of the multiverse storyline for the MCU. That has just been completely painful.

Loved it.

Story, stakes, plot....blah, blah, blah, cinephilic stuff I've long stopped caring about. The intro scene alone was worth the price of the ticket, and having Blade and Channbit show up in the middle exceeded all my expectations.

One other thing.... "Comics Accurate Wolverine" was actually too short , right? Like, I was just looking up 5'3" actors and it turns out Pat Morita was 5'3" . Surely Pat Morita was not as small as they made that Wolverine variant out to be.

5'3" is short. I remember (which is why I must comment) my Mom proclaiming "Well I'm 5'2"!!" when I told her how tall (short?) Wolverine is.

Now, as a short man myself, I've always been annoyed that Movie Wolverine is not short...but just chalked it up to the way things work.

Oh how I wish I had all my comics from when I was a kid...

Isnt the Tony Stark as Dr Doom a multiverse shenanigan?
If he's not, then Marvel has created the biggest Chekhov's (Stark? Iron Man?) I've ever imagined. Unless they're really transforming him like in Oppenheimer, RDJ's prior extremely loud and incredibly close association with the MCU will be a major distraction if they're playing Doom straight.

I suppose, given this is the FF, they could make use of Counter Earth instead of the multiverse. Counter Earth was technically part of the same universe at one point.

I enjoyed Deadpool & Wolverine. I haven't laughed so hard at the movies in years. Well worth the price of admission.
I was pleasantly surprised at their use of Cassandra Nova considering the character's whole Marvel origin is extremely effed up.

He looked more Puck short rather than wolverine short, but Im assuming forced perspective was being used for comedy.

Amusingly Jubilee is 5’ 5” but have you ever seen Wolverine depicted as shorter than her?

Is the FF film actually set in the 1960s, or a parallel reality with 60s style?

If it’s actually the 1960s of this reality, then Doom could be a Howard Stark variant.
