I'm married, an adult, a father and have 3 children.

I don't think adult/risque material/themes should be put in rpg material. I think Dragon is already pushing the envelope with what they allow. It just does not belong. I really don't understand why you need it in rpg products. There are plently of other places to get your erotic/adult art, material, whatever. If you like that stuff in your game, add it yourself.

With that said, I have a subscription to Playboy, Maxium and Stuff magazines. I have for years. I also like erotic fantasy art books of Royo, Olivia, etc. I keep all this material away from my children.
Why am I telling you this? To let you know that I personally don't object to this type of material/art, etc., but just think that the place for it is not in our games.

Role playing games (and other related material), for the most part, are for everyone, kids and adults alike. Why can't it stay relatively clean and neutral. I know that many of you like this type of material, look, whatever. But it can always be found elsewhere. Mainstream rpgs are limited and the more adult themes/material that is added to them, the more we may loose the younger crowd. I don't mind the elf maiden in sexy garb, but lets not get carried away.

Just my opinion.

IMHO

I personnaly beleave that adults should have access to this material if they desire. Go ahead and put the age restrictions on the material and let vendors and shop owners choose whether they wish to carry the product or not. Punish those who sell it to minors, and such much like the other millions of adult publications available to adults everywhere.
Doesnt this all come down to if you dont like it dont buy it?

I am a father and I voted approve. I only voted that way because I don't see anything wrong with erotic rpg books morally. That said, I cannot possibly using such a book, at least to more than just look at. I mean, really, how do you broach the subject with your game group in the first place?

I myself approve, as long as it isn't simple an excuse to publish fantasy porn.:p

Approve, female, married, no children.

I play in mature campaigns that have benefitted greatly from the GUCK as characters have matured, fallen in love, married, had children, etc. But there have still been things that the DM just has to make up. I look forward to the great possibilities of what the BoEF will do for us. I'm glad to see it being produced.

Others have said it before, but it bears repeating.

I don't care.

Frankly, it's kinda dopey---and I reserve the right to mercilessly mock any bodice-ripping dialogue at the gaming table.

Married.

Father of Two.

I approve, and am of the opinion that it is up to parents to monitor what their children read, not up to anyone else to determine what exists for their children to read.

Actually, I think a great point is that these books are a much better place for adult and vile content than anything in a general source, like Dragon.
