GM found! 0-level funnel pending!

Yay! And that makes four (or, umm, 16). I look forward to seeing your zeroes, DT. :)

And since I couldn't wait, I posted up the IC thread here. (Ominously, the post number is 626666...)

I have hijacked the IC thread somewhat. Sorry.

But I thought a service or town hall gathering type event would be a good place for everyone to announce themselves and give everyone a chance to meet each other.

My biggest problem is that I am starting to grow attached to all of my characters. Perhaps I shouldn't have named them ...

There are three Halfling Dyers in the mix! As well as two Turnip Farmers (so far).

The Turnip Farmers should be brothers or cousins or something. Fierce Turnip rivals?

There should be some form of connection between the Halfling dyers. Perhaps they are a group of Dyer journey-halflings come to Krivstad to set up a new business? Or perhaps two are established and the third is a journey-ling looking to set up shop?

Looking forward to what DT brings to the mix.

Alaric, Dudles, Zim and Borok on the way!

And Zim, the halfling Dyer, is clearly the most mischievous of the halfling brothers/siblings. His constant pranks tend to get the other halflings in trouble.

Dudles is a parsnip farmer, not a turnip farmer. Dunno if that could work into the rivalry?

I guess I should mention you CAN spend your copper pieces. Yeah, you can't afford much but you never know when some odd bit of gear will come in useful.

And welcome to Alaric and co. Hopefully the other half of our group will make an appearance soon.

I originally envisioned my four as a party of travellers. But there is no reason why Xim could not be from the town, and related to the other Halfling Dyers. Perhaps she is returning from her journey-ling time.

On a related note, Narančasta (which means Orange) and Alaric the Blue (humm ...) could make a knight and squire combination. Only Narančasta is definitely not a local (and whose stated reasons for visiting may or may not be his real reasons) and from the IC post, it seems that Alaric is local. That been said, the Alaric could be a local, and allowing him to visit his hometown may be one of Narančasta's "reasons". Humm, I think that even I am getting confused. At one point Narančasta did contemplate making Bijela his Squire, but I think that Page would be a much better, and more likely, option. And easy to edit the IC to reflect.

Anyway, I quite like the idea of linking these two, but am easy either way.

You're right. They are both parsnip farmers. "No bogrottle turnip farmers in these parts! We be decent folk like."

Sure maybe after the town meeting has finished we can purchase a few supplies.

Amen.

I like that!

Alaric is going to go Wizard, if he survives. I see him as from a good family with connections in their own right. He's likely with Narancasta so he can see the world, and he's a very fast learner, and not stronger than an average man. That said, Narancasta's gear as never been in better order, and he does a very good job maintaining it all (knows all about oils, little tips from Alchemists he's talked to; and horse care for things like what herbs to feed a horse with an upset stomach, etc.)

Zim and Xim; I intentionally re-spelled Zim's name to match Xim; I can change it. Was thinking maybe they're related. Zim is a trickster, and way too smart for other people's good. (if only he could go wizard...)

OK. So Alaric was Squired to Narančasta through family connections. He's a good squire, but really dreams of being a wizard. Its up to you whether Narančasta knows of Alaric's desire. If he does, I don't think Narančasta would have a problem with it. Alaric does a good job. One last question, do you see Alaric as a local to this town?

I suspected as much. Lets make them family. Xim the older more responsible one, Zim the trouble-monkey. Xim can have met Narančasta on the road while returning from another town or market or something like.

We will see whether Dogmatron wants to tie his Halfling Dyer to this little happy family in some way.

BTW, we also have a Dwarven Blacksmith and a Dwarven Stonemason in the group. Got to be a story there!

Its going to be so hard watching these little character-lings die.
