Gothem: Beasts of prey (spoilers)

In the scene where Kat pushers the guy who stabbed Alfred out the window, I feel I have been hit with an epiphany. Is Kat the darker side of Bruce? The 'cat'alyst that makes him the dark knight? [pun intended]

I have not caught all of the shows but I think Kat is someone he admires but not the catalyst; that has always been the murder of his parents. I think Bruce is already The Batman in his mind, he just knows he is not ready.

Not quite on topic, but I feel prompted to mention that I was quite surprised to find that I don't really enjoy watching Gotham while I find Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. to be rather fun. Based on what I'd heard and read before actually watching either show, I'd have thought it would be the other way around.

What I somewhat dislike in either show is how the 'nerd' characters are depicted. Apparently, every show needs to have them these days, and their portrayal is always outrageously over the top.

I'm the exact opposite. I enjoy Gotham immensely, but SHIELD puts me to sleep.

Recently, I found myself sort of in the middle ground. For some reason recently Gotham I don't find myself as interested in the like I used to. Perhaps part of it has to do with Fish's weird predicament that I'm glad she's out of. I never really got into that whole storyline part with the weird Doctor and his little island of horrors. But I remember a few instances where I was anxiously waiting for the next week to see what happened, which I've never really done with Agents of Shield.

As for Agents of SHIELD, I feel like that show is very up and down, some parts fast and many parts painfully slow. I did like that we finally found out why Mae is called the Cavalry now. :)

You know guys, I like and dislike both shows for all the reasons mentioned. I id find the 'island of horrors' line boring though.

I was tentatively looking forward to "Gotham" and skeptical about "Agents of SHIELD." When they hit the air I found myself annoyed by "Gotham's" references, that never really had a pay-off (because a pay-off would effectively end the show), but quite happy with "Agents of Shield's" irreverent voice.

I enjoyed Kat's entrance this week. I really feel that she is the character the writers have gotten best and that they don't over use her helps.

I'm enjoying all the super hero shows for what they are. I'm just happy to have them.
