Heart of Artifice Temporary--Kharas Alone

"Certainly. There are four kingdoms, and originally each had its own ruler until the coming of the Artifex Maximus. All of the other rulers are lovely ladies except for me--the Duchess ir'Esperal, High Lady ir'Fantasia, and Her Late Royal Highness ir'Brillia. I don't think any of them would kidnap children though."

OOC: That blow my crazy theory...

"Artifex Maximus. As I've heard about him, it looks like he is a God. Is it the case? Can you tell me more about him." asks Kharas

"Not a God...at least I don't think so, although he can perform miracles. I think that he is just an incredibly powerful Spark. Most others worship him, including my lovely wife. She'll be joining us for tea in a few minutes when my daughter finishes her lessons, if you don't mind."

"No, I don't mind at all, it would even be a pleasure to me. I've heard about the Spark. I was told you were one, as you daugther. In my world, we have many Artificer, they are kind of Spark, but they take more time to create things and it is harder to create them too, but I think that is related to the fact we don't have Thelanium. That material seems like a boon to any artificer who can put his hand on it. And I'm really impress by the variety of use it has. I've tasted some meals prepared with teh help of it. The flavor are so great." tells Kharas.

"Yes, I am a Spark, and my daughter is as well. It still remains to be seen whether or not her talent will take after mine, but she's very bright, so I am hoping that it will. These 'Artificers' of yours sound...odd. It does seem strange to think of a world without Thelanium...how drab and dull it must be, if you'll excuse my conjecture about your home. But then...are you a Rogue Spark, then, Kharas?"

"A rogue Spark? I am not sure what you mean by that... for my world, it is not drab, but it is very different of here. This world seems peacefull and joyous, almost a paradise. Mine is a land who just suffered a great war and is still dark and hard, but at the same time, the little things seems sometimes marvelous because of that. But having some Thelanium would surely make things easier, but we have to do without it." explains Kharas.

"Oh, you know--a Spark not in the service of any of the kingdoms. Like a lone wolf."

"I am sorry to hear that about your land. If there is anything that we of Spiras can do to help you recover from your war, please don't hesitate to ask."

"For now, I think the best thing would be to find a way between our two worlds. From there, I'm quite sure you could establish some trading relation with the Mror Hold, where we, dwarves, lives. Most artificer in my world are not at the service of a kingdom, only a minority, but that doesn't mean they aren't loyal to it. I would say it is the dragonmarked house who generally have the greatest artificer and they are loyal to them. House Kundarak is the only dragonmarked house among teh dwarves. They are banker and merchant, and they also possess the best trapmakers, after all, they need to protect goods. My family is not a member of the house, but they are good business parterner. They generally give us many contracts, but most of them are minors compare to what there artificer do.

Outside these contract, we do some contracts for other dwarves who want personal security. You could see my family as freelancer in a sense, but clanmates are pretty important to us and we work to bring honor and wealth to it.

If Rogue mean not member of one of your, I can't protest I am, as I just arrive yesterday and I had the honor to visit the first leader of one of these kingdom today, that one being you.

For being a Spark, I am not enough familiar with teh term. Trapmaker, artificer are terms that fit me well. But I must tell with the Thelanium, I've been inspired to a point I could not even imagine. All artificer learn, sooner or later, to build a small mechanical helper to help in his tasks. Normally, someone of my skill wouldn't be able to do something liek that, but I've been able to build a small bird. Nothing very impressive, even for an experienced artificer, even less to what your Spark can do if I look at what you've done, but I suspect the Thelanium greatly imcrease the skill of an artificer."

"A gate between worlds...now that would be a spectacular find indeed! Just imagine the possibilities for one who could walk amidst the infinite worlds that float along in the dream we call life..."

"Oh, a Rogue Spark does indeed mean someone here in our world who does not have affiliation to any kingdom here. Your world doesn't have Sparks, right? So it wouldn't have Spark affiliations either...It seems from your description that you are probably a weak Spark, like my daughter, though hopefully once she is fully grown, she will become stronger. She's only eight, but when she made her first Clank a few years back, it made me very proud."

"I think Sparks and Artificers have many similarity, but the main difference, it is the time and energy needed to create items. I'm not sure if it comes directly from teh skill of someone, or teh material they use, as Thelanium is a marvelous material. It might be probably be both. But in the end, I think an Artificer, or maybe a team of artificer, would be able to create the same thing as one of your Spark, but in more time. But I see you have very few Spark in your city... a city that size would have many Artificer." tells Kharas.

"There on thing I would be curious. Where does that symbol mean to you?" asks Kharas, pointing one of the lesser dragonmark.
