"For the most part. Nothing serious at least..." Levanna answered the cleric as she dusted herself off. She frowned at her torn sleeves and the reddened and stinging skin just underneath, marks of where the slimy and acidic tentacles had grasped her.

"Don't be so hard on yourself. We have not yet learned how to best function as a team," she said to Uhtred. Then she continued, addressing the party. "Though it's probably wise to work out such details before we find ourselves in another situation with deadly consequences,"

Levanna wrinkled her nose and gestured forward with her staff. "As for this foul smelling room. I have rope, if needed. And personally speaking, I will not have an issue with crossing it or climbing down; my boots will allow me to fly there. But I'd prefer to not go into that muck..."[/section]

While the party was resting Tirion thought he saw a strange glint of metal down blow in the collapsed floor's floor. He could not get a good look at it from up above... someone would have to climb down there to really see what, if anything, it is...

GM: As mentioned above, its above 15 feet down to the lower floor which is filled with garbage, large fat mushrooms and the carcass of the mutant sundew/shambling mount

Quellathe sighed deeply. "I have been better, although the rest helped. I appreciate your bravery and willingness to go first, Uhtred, but perhaps I should be the one to scout next time. And I think we will have to risk the light for the benefit of our companions who don't see well in the dark. I have a healer's kit with me and some skill at using it, does anyone need assistance?"

While waiting for an answer, Quellathe and Naeris peered carefully into the pit, looking for anything of interest. Quellathe looked carefully at the mushrooms, trying to ascertain if she recognized them.

Not clear on whether or not Q can use the healer's kit on herself or not, but I'm hesitant to spend her last two hit dice. I will assume no unless told otherwise.
Q has the healer feat, so she can use the healer's kit to heal 1d6+4+ creature’s max HD, if anyone needs/wants healing

GM: I don't think anyone has used the Healers kit on anyone so it should be fine.

When Quellathe looks down into the floor below where Tirion points, she sees the unmissable glint of a few gold and silver coins... but also the blade of what might be a sword (its half buried so she is not completely sure). This is all mixed in with some half digested bones and clothing... perhaps past victims of the plant creature.

“It wasn’t your fault, Uhtred,” Tirion reassured his friend. “We’ll just proceed with some light in the future.”

The cleric held out his own light over the pit, peering down. Something glinted down there. “Looks like there is something down there. Gold and silver, and possibly a sword. Likely past victims.”

Tirion pulled the rope from his belt. “I will check it out,” he said, finding a place to secure the rope and let himself down.

Tirion easily climbs down into the lower floor, finding it uneven and... squishy. The odor was also overpowering, reeking of rot, decay and ruin.

Searching around and clearing the debris as best he can, the priest manages to collect 87 gold pieces, a 107 silver pieces and three gems of various sizes. The sword appears to be a longsword of some master-craftsmanship with the pummel depicting a roaring gold dragon's head. Once wipes of grim and slim, the blade has a slightly bluish sheen too it and almost glows. On of the half digested skeletal fingers, Tirion also finds a gold-with-inset-fire-opal ring.

GM: As you have time for a short rest if anyone wants to try and identify the two items, the first is a longsword +2 (rare) and the second is a Ring of Spell Storing (Rare, requires attunement) with three 1st level spells already stored within it - charm person, jump, shield

[section]"May I see those?" Levanna asked, indicating the sword and ring. With a wave of her hand, magic wisps scoured the items clean.

She set the items down before her and sunk to her knees. From her Bag of Holding, she retrieved a small, but beautiful pearl. For each item, she held the precious stone motionless above it and chanted softly under her breath. A glowing aura grew around the pearl, shifting from green to blue and purple.

After a long while, the energies died away and Levanna slowly and stiffly rose to her feet. She recomposed herself as she told the party what she had learned of the magic items.[/section]

Tirion gathered up the coins, the sword, and the ring and climbed out of the pit once more, saying a quick prayer over the remains of those that had preceded them. He handed the ring and sword over to Levanna to identify.

“Why don’t you keep the ring, Levanna,” Tirion suggested. “Either one of us would benefit from it, but you probably the most. Who wants the sword?” he asked. It wasn’t a weapon he was familiar with, so it was best if it went to someone who could use it.

GM: I don't think you need to cast identify on magic items in 5th ed do you? I might have read that wrong but I thought that you could simply spend time with them (after a short rest) to do so. I might be remember wrong and I don't have my DMG with me right now... Either way you know what both do right now.

Also I am going to say that Gillam stayed back at the inn for now as his player is unlikely to be able to rejoin :(
