D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Tommi

While Snake ran past him to the corner of the brewery-barn, Tommi made for the cover of an old stump. He saw the drunken bugbear stumble forth and throw a javelin, so he loosed a magical sling-stone at the creature. It struck the brute in the cheek but unlike the other bugbear, this one did not so much as turn Tommi's way. It's eyes locked hard on Angis and Titus, and it plucked a spiked morningstar from it's belt and roared a challenge. (Which came out as something of a slur.)

Tommi took the opportunity to dive behind the stump. Crouching low, he was well out of sight.

There was the bang of a slammed door from behind the farmhouse and another large bugbear appeared at the corner of the building, holding a javelin. It saw some of the assembled newly-declared Adventurers, so it remained by the corner, taking cover.

GM: BTW, I only put who has "gone" in THIS post under "gone", not who's gone for the round.

Drui covers the moves of his dwarven comrade, shield raised and axe up. When he moves, Drui moves along, trying to build a proper front. He'll attack after Angis's lead, accordingly to his plans, for the time being.

[So, I'm holding to see who gets chaged first; if within reach, Drui completes the damage, moving forward accordingly; otherwise he protects Angis's flank, as shown in the map]

Enseth, Drui, & Titus

Enseth charged forward, his metal feet clanging on stones as he came into the open on the farmstead's road. He sent ORB1 to harass the drunken bugbear as Titus moved in with his sword to challenge the brute. Drui put himself between Angis and the bugbears, ready to defend his dwarf comrade with his shield.

GM: I wanted to move on. [MENTION=6855204]tglassy[/MENTION], I moved Titus, but I didn't use his action. Feel free to.

As the beast advanced Snake took careful aim and fired a bolt of fire at the bugbear smiling with some satisfaction as the fire found its home. With a skip Snake quickly retreated trying to keep his distance from the brutish beast.

Dandin's snickers died off as he realized that the battle had begun in earnest without him. Mumbling to himself he analyzed the situation. "Well, so much for that idea. Oh well, can't win them all."

This brute looked about as stupid as the one before it. Maybe he could distract it at just the right moment and throw off it's swing. Watching for the right moment he suddenly jumped out and yelled at the beast. "Hey ugly! Is that really your head? Or did a dragon use your shoulders as a chamber pot?"

OOC: Wis save DC 13 or take [roll0] Psychic msg and disadvantage on next attack.

Angis Honack
Daggerford
Morning
Round 3

Angis yanked the bugbear’s javelin out of his leg and tossed it aside. He grinned at the taller goblinoid and spun his axes around. He nodded to Drui and grinned.

“Always nice killin’ goblins,” he said, eying one of his favored enemies. He focused his hunter’s magic on the bugbear and rushed up on him, slashing with his axe.

OOC: Sorry - missed this somehow. I'm not certain on all the icons, so please adjust as needed.

Tommi breaks his cover and rushes towards the nearest hobgoblin, caught in melee with his companions. He closes his eyes and says a little prayer as he loads a stone into his sling, and when he has a shot he lets fly.

OOC: Bonus: cast magic stone.
Move: 30' to a position where he can hit J6 (if still standing) or N4.
Action: Attack with magic stone. [roll0]. If a hit, damage = [roll1], plus [roll2] (if J6, sneak attack).

I imagine this leaves him somewhere around H8, with two magic stones left.
