D&D 5E (IC) Scourge of Daggerford

Snake & Dandin

Snake sent another small ball of fire hurtling toward the bugbear. It struck the brute square in the face - a shower of sparks that singed it's eyebrows. It shook it's shaggy head vigorously and glared over Titus' shoulder as it lifted it's big spiked club over its head. Then Dandin popped out of the bushes, shouting insults.

"Whu... Dragoon?" it said, confused, as it absently slammed the club into Titus' shield.

Angis, Enseth, & ORB1

As Titus shoved the big hairy goblin back with his shield, Angis arrived and buried an axe deep into the brute's chest. It fell backwards onto the ground as Angis yanked his axe free.

ORB1 flew over to harass the bugbear at the corner of the farmhouse, dive-bombing at its head, while Enseth moved up to join the others. The shield guardian miscalculated his javelin launch, and the steel spear thumped harmlessly into the side of the building.

The bugbear swatted at the little construct with the back of his hand and ORB1 flew away, so the brute lifted its own spiked club and charged into the fray, smashing the weapon onto the ground as Angis leaped out of the way. The dwarf was in his element now and could feel a life returning to him that he had thought he'd left behind.

Enseth & Tommi

Tommi came up behind Enseth as the shield guardian recalibrated his javelin-launcher and fired a second spear. This one pierced the bugbear's shoulder as it squared-off with Angis and it roared in pain and frustration. Tommi slung a stone at it, which cracked across it's brow right above its eye, matting the furry ridge with blood.

Then Snake spotted another bugbear hurriedly slipping along the side of the farmhouse in much the same way as the group had done.

Moving side by side with Angis, Drui endorses his companion's attack, swinging his weapon against the very same beast that the warrior now faces. The hammer spins around above his head as the silent priest stares his enemy in the eye, mentally praying to his god. Angis is right about one thing: it is a pleasure to indulge in warfare against goblins...

"Let them bleed, brother, and show what dwarven arms can do!" - he grunts in response to Angis' remark.

Titus, Morwin & Drui

Titus and Drui came up on either side of Angis and Titus' winged cat, Morwin struck the brute in the back of the head, biting one of its ears with tiny teeth. Titus thrust his sword into the bugbear's belly and as it lurched forward, Drui bashed it in the temple with his hammer. The hairy goblin fell forward onto the ground, as dead as could be.

Tommi looks around and sees no enemies. He had a feeling that there might be some inside the house, and so he enters and begins to search, attacking any enemy he comes across.

OOC: Move to N8. (see any enemies?)
Does he see any enemies?
Y - he'll attack.
N - bonus action to Dash: to P7, check room; to P9 to check room.

N - Action to Dash further into house.

Passive perception: 15.
If an attack is needed, [roll0]. If a hit, damage = [roll1]. If Sneak Attack is warranted, please add [roll2].

If he attacks, any remaining movement will be back towards the main entryway.

Snake moves as quickly and quietly as possible and looks into the outbuilding.

OOC:
My assumption is that Snake cannot see Bugbear 4. If he can see him he will attack with firebolt.
Attack on bugbear with firebolt Snake would then move to E7 and alert the party.
Firebolt attack on Bugbear: 1D20+5 = [4]+5 = 9

If Snake cannot see the bugbear he will move to J9 and look into the room.

The bugbear near the party collapse and Dandin grins and is about to relax when Snakes fireball kicks off. The halfling starts in surprise but moves to see what he was shooting at.

"There's another one over here! Think you're sneaky, do ya... Lets see what you think of this..."

Pulling out his shawm, Dandin plays a little lulaby for their stealthy friend.

Squirrels are evil!

Tommi, Snake, & Dandin

Tommi checked the farmhouse, running from room-to-room. It was empty of bugbears, though they had left their smell behind.

Snake sent a small ball of fire at the bugbear trying to sneak around the farmhouse, it ducked and a shower of sparks burst over it's head. It made a low growl and rushed toward him.

Dandin puffed away on his shawm, a soothing melody. The bugbear stumbled, yawned, slowed to a walk. It took a step forward, stretched, then sat down, closed its eyes, and began to snore.

GM: End of fight
