Tommi waits until last, ensuring the others are hidden and away before he tries. Once Angis makes his attempt, following the elves and the rest of the party, he will go [assuming they have not been spotted.]

OOC: If possible, he will HELP Angis (and anyone else who is left), giving advantage.

When he goes: Athletics [roll0] vs. DC 10.

Legend
ORB2 reported to Enseth that everything appeared to be quiet in the immediate part of the little walled town - the goblins were asleep at their watchtower post. The other nearest watchtower, some two-hundred feet further away, overlooked a bridge that spanned the gap between the town's two levels. The two goblins and their hobgoblin captain that stood there were all looking south (away from this side) and had not noticed that their neighbouring guards were shirking. In the town itself, there was little activity. From ORB2's position high above, a goblin could be seen running from one building to another, on some sort of business, but the town's lanes were quieter than they would ever have been were it not for the occupation.

With Tommi’s help, and a bit of prayer for guidance, Angis made it easily down to the roof of the bridge. “Ta, mate,” he thanked Tommi.

Angis moved over to above the window with Titus and looked over. “Wot’s tha’?” he asked, seeing the man dangling over the river. And why hadn’t the goblins noticed it? Angis watched the next watchtower, but the goblins there seemed not to notice them. He still drew his crossbow, just in case, though it was a difficult shot at this distance. “Let’s get off this thing an’ inside ‘fore we’re seen an’ blow this ‘idden way intae the city.”

"We only have a short time before those sleepy heads wake up. Can we do this from inside of the bridge, at least?"

Dandin looked a bit uncomfortable in the presence of the corpse, but kept peering up at the tower as they gathered, checking for any signs of unexpected surprises.

Legend
OOC: Nah, he can just haul him up. And everyone can climb through the window without rolling too. It's a bit scary, (to dangle over the rushing water of the moat), but with enough caution, there should be no danger of anyone falling in. You can do that first, too.

One by one, the Daggerfordians and their Elf allies climbed through the covered bridge's lone window. When everyone was inside, and the doors on either end were watched for any trouble, Titus hauled the body through the window. The body, dead for a day or two, once had been a balding man of middle years, wearing humble but well-made wool robes. Sadly, he had been beaten and hanged. If he had had any jewellery or footware, they had been taken.

Dandin glanced at their guide, wondering if the man knew anything about the corpse. Then proceeded to inspect the body himself, hoping to discover anything of import about him. He also looked around the inside of the bridge area for any sign of goblinoid use.

“If ‘e’s dead, put ‘im back where we found ‘im,” Angis said. “Dunnae wan’ the gobbies noticin’ ‘e’s missin’. We’ll give ‘im the proper rites when we get the town free.” The ranger paused and said a few words over the man to calm his soul until the right thing could be done.
